Re: Time Trial
Ryan Byrnes.......I wonder if he performed as well in the time trial last year. Since his very quiet debut I think most of us have no expectation of him playing senior football this year. Still an unknown quantity. Not me mate. I'm told he is flying. Byrnes will play senior footy this year. Don't d...

Re: 2021 fixture
Tough draw. If we're good enough to play finals with that draw, then we're a pretty good team. If we make Top 4, with that draw, then we're a bloody good team and could win the whole damn thing.

Unbelievable get, as a rookie. You wonder how these guys get overlooked for so long. Would be a walk up start in nearly any other list. We done good there.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 13 Dec 2020 12:24pm What a great acquisition this young man has been to the club - another future leader without doubt!

Re: StKFC U26
It all depends on Rowell.
If he's the next big thing, they'll become a force.
If he stagnates or has repetitive injuries, they'll struggle.
It's like GA Mk II, in the fact a lot rides on the performance of one player.

Re: Mock Draft
Just take best available and hope he's a 200 gamer. A tall defender and a classy outside mid are requirements so hopefully that's what we get but if it's an inside mid or a forward then so be it. Max or RoMa may get injured, who takes their place if it's long term? What happens if Ross or Steele tea...

Re: James Frawley a Saint
I think we were left exposed when Carlisle wasn’t there in the Semi Final. I’m happy to have Frawley cover as insurance. Also comes in at a great trade price. Free! My favourite way to grab a player. I think it’s really that simple He starts behind Carlisle and Howard and a dare say that in the rig...

Re: GWS looking at Savage
DMac and Joyce should feel very lucky as Id suggest the only reason they're still on the list is because of poor judgement of their contracts otherwise they'd have been shown the door before others. For the life of me, I still don understand how DMac was given a 3 year contract.

Re: St Kilda's Best 22 on afl.com.au
Personally I'd have Sincs in for Ross. Crouch and Ross are same-types with Crouch being the better player. No need for both. Sincs uses the ball better than both of them and much smarter in general play which is what we need to improve. Reckon Sincs still has another level in him also. We've seen Ro...

Re: Dearth of talls
Marsh is an odd concern because the guy didn’t play tall at all this year... and certainly isn’t fit to play as a key back If anything, the perplexing list management decision this season is losing Logan Austin. One can only hope that the club both is really confident that Clavarino will be a playe...

Re: New Saint Marches into his Dream Club
So long as he continues to.work on the defensive aspect of his game his natural talent and smarts are foing to make him a very handy pick up. You'd think he and Gresh will rotate forward and mid throughout games, giving our midfield some xfactor and the ability to score more.

The length of DMac contract was stupid. Should have only been 2 years. Joyce also very lucky. This is the consequences.

Re: 2020 DRAFT...top 3 & what we get
Hi Anyone interested in guessing the top 3 best and who we will take? I reckon the best 3 players in the draft are: #1 Jamarra Ugle-Hagan - saw him play a scratch match at Scotch College - he kicked 11.1. The damn ball was addicted to this guys hands... it couldnt resist. #2 Denver Grainger-Barras ...

Re: Jack Higgins deal done. No really .. like, really done!
From 2017 draft we have: Coffield(6) Clark (7) Higgins (17) Clavarino (35) Paton (46) On that basis alone, I'm backing in big Oscar to make it. 2017 will be looked back on very fondly in the years to come. It was the year the club really turned the corner. Coff and Clark are our Buddy/Roughead equi...

Re: The Caldwell conundrum
Dylan Shiel's footskills are worse than Cinton Jones IMO no Clint was a handy player & could get the ball but his foot skills were only marginally better than Jack Daniels. CJ had the worst kicking style. So awkward. At least he knew it and rarely tried to kick it over 20m. Gun tagger though. K...

Would be nice to see a real A grader nominate us. That would really get the place buzzing. Or Ben King. Alabaskis is a massive unit. Seen him at a local cafe and he's got serious size about him. Needs a few more gym sessions but he's got the frame and he's breathing the upper atmosphere, height wise. If he can jump, then he could be a serious weapon.

"His good is great. His bad is woeful" was my Bombers friends estimate. Apparently prone to brain fades and giving away silly frees. Great hands and nice kick for goal but can sometimes bite off more than he can chew, in general play. He's defintley an upgrade to Abbott though as he can im...

Re: Kudos to St Kilda FC
With the natural progression of Clark, Coff, Paton, Gresh etc and another good midfielder in Crouch, we are poised to really give Top 4 a shake. It's going to be tough with other teams like Dogs, West Coast also missing out on Top 4 this year but I reckon 22 will be our year to really impact finals ...

Well done Saintas a quality player for zero cost in draft picks. Suggestion is $600k to $650k per year https://www.afl.com.au/news/523634/crouch-a-saint-after-crows-make-late-call-not-to-match-offer It means we got pick 23 for free from the AFL. Yep. We've made off like bandits! It feels good to be...

The club is, however, expected to heavily target Gold Coast’s Ben King, who is the brother of star Saint Max King, next year.
But the Suns remain confident of keeping Ben King and were thrilled with his development up north this year.

Yeah I'd have Sincs ahead of Ross. Sincs is one of our better ball users and you cant have enough of those. I think Sincs has another gear in him also. Reckon we havent seen his best yet.
