Great report. Leigh Fisher looks as if he will be assigned a tagging role, as he spoke heavily to Lyon and the assistants both during and after training. Maybe Fish could do a job on Goodwin cosidering a) he's not that fast b) but still their best player and c) would otherwise be tagging Dal and gen...

I'm not interested in the GT part, but why is RL getting better? I think it's fair to suggest most coaches take a year or two to get to know the caper. His comments pre and post game are less emotive and he's losing the self-protective or defensive demeanour. I also think he's a really good match d...

It's funny isn't it. Eddy, Jones, Geary and Armo are have probably toughened up the team and made some of the older blokes toughen up too. I know Geary and Armo haven't quite racked up the numbers to get regular games but you couldn't question their courage. I'd be interested to see if Jack Steven c...

That's very unfair. Pert always has the decency to answer "tough" questions from Tony Jones...and questions from no-one else...

I have no doubt that Goddard was gutted. His display in the early part of the game was awesome, his disposal incredible. He busted his gut for the whole game and was robbed by a despicable little weasel umpire that wanted to give the Eagles the game. He might have been petulant but seriously he's on...

Why do people get excited about 20-year olds who can't play? Geary's had a few runs with the seniors now and hasn't shown anything special. Neither McEvoy nor Allen looked like they were ready for regular senior duty. How does selecting kids who haven't performed bring credibility to the selection ...

Interesting that he said he expects us to be out of the finals for the next 4-5 years. Sounds a little extreme to me.

Yeah I remebered that just after I posted it ( ). I think they made it to a semi final against Sydney a couple of years back from memory.

The record is hardly imposing...

Free kick count: 16-22 in their favour.
Games won for the year: 2-11 not in their favour.
Finals appearances in their history: 1 - which they lost - and then promptly dispatched players to all parts of the ground to celebrate with their supporters.

Crap jumper. Crap song. Crap coach. Crap history.

It was a great interview with a lot less corporate lingo than usual. He was very honest as Mark McClure and the panel pointed out. Geary for one....Hayes injured
Not so fast there...Geary was very tough and harassed all night. He may not have got the touches but he, Eddy, Armo and MacQualter were defensively very good.

Took the telling mark was it was needed. In fact this third quarter arguably won the game. He seemed to be kicking goals and controlling the back line...how does that work??

And flew the flag in a big way..impressive.

I would back Roo but not once in 6 years of footy have I seen Dal Squib it. Matter of fact he can take a pretty good mark and isnt afraid to back into a pack. Also I would back that Ablett takes pretty good care of himself. I was harsh earlier...I'm a huge wrap for Dal and by and large I think you ...

From what I've seen he is a hardnut and he's obviously got a hugh motor based on pre-season form. If he can find the footy he'll do okay but his defensive pressure will be A1.
