Re: Brilliant for us that Bolts is gone....
If we do nothing, Ratten to North (unless Rhyce Shaw hangs on), Scott to Carlton. But movement at North and Carlton might force the board's hand. Then we might see Ratten use a bit of bribery to insist on an offer of the top job with us where we'd rather he just mind the shop till the end of the se...

Granted household duties allowed me the privilege of not having to watch the game today. Listened to the first half on radio that said here is my take on things for what its worth at the bye - We sit 5-6 which at the start of the year i would have taken as i thought our list would win 5-6 games all...

Maybe the next female AFL umpire will be picked on ability not gender equilasation. dear oh dear. Truth hurts I guess she is no good. Too true, unfortunately. C’mon saynta ... there are a lot of dud umpires out there. What about Margetts or that little turd who barracks for Hawthorn. We’ve been sti...

Re: VFL Rd 7 Sandringham sv Essendon- TBBO
I just got back. Five goal wind blowing from the city end.
King kicked a nice goal from 55-60 but several players are kicking them that long with a he wind.
I struggle to identify players but noticed Darragh Joyce playing well and Armo doing some nice things.

Re: mmmmmm- Umpire Movement Rd 9
I wasn’t particularly happy about her umpiring against us but I don’t see why it’s necessary her to be publicly shamed like this. She made some mistakes, like the others do. Move on. No one at AFL House seems to care when we get a 30-8 free kick count in Perth. Is it because she’s female that we’re ...

Injuries - 24 May 2019
An interesting injury list: https://www.saints.com.au/news/2019-05-14/injury-update-round-9 Points of note - Paddy still suffering from effects of the knock in the JLT match (surely is close to cooked, an awful thing to say but how can such a small knock still be having an effect?); Carlisle 5-6 wee...

Re: Unofficial match thread v Eagles
Acres started in the guts. Yay Richo. That's an ironic 'yay' There were seconds to go until the final siren That's the coach giving Blake a taste of it. It's called Richo's valuable 8 seconds of football development Whilst Jack Steele went to the bench... 2 goals down, 1min 23 to go. F*cking putrid...

Did you see the lecture room? The team principles / photos was Billy Slater's work I'm told. Seems like he's having a big impact in leadership and team morale.

I read big footy but don't post there. There are some funny posters but some annoying posters too.
I still like this place and it's loyal posters. It's a shame there isn't quite the same level of activity but it's still good.

He plays injured players way too often in my view.
I'd much rather see a fringe player (who's 100% fit) play than Bruce at 50%.
Stupid error.

Re: Billings offered 900k a year for 2 years
I reckon he's worth $800k so $900k isn't overs by much. Other clubs would certainly pay that much to get him. There's still an amount for potential factored into the pricing admittedly, but he seems on the cusp of something big and his numbers this year have been excellent.

Out: Longer, Lonie, In : Marshall, Clark If Bruce doesn't come up then Marsh comes in . Leave Battle back as need stability in the back 6. The game Acres just played is way too fresh in my mind to objectively comment. Nevertheless, if Acres keeps playing like that, then I'd consider we got the better deal, otherwise win / win.

As much as Goddard bleats about wanting a reasonable offer - there was literally no space left in the cap to offer him close to what he wanted; let along something commensurate with his experience and performance. the 63% of cap space on 10 payers is damning on those before Pelchen; not in and of P...

I agree, Stonecold. Parker, Kent, Acres and Hunter all had pretty ordinary games. Their work rate just wasn't up to snuff. AFL players should stay the bloody hell away from social media. It's just embarrassing when they make online assess of themselves. Fan of Parker but seemed more interested in m...

Re: Coaches messages for Members
After the pretty ordinary "coaches messages " of last season, I must admit to being happy with the new ones (naturally a win helps of course) I'm prepared to cut Richo some slack and thus far he has done little wrong. His post game message from round one (in my humble opinion) was an impr...
