C. Mooney comments on S. King's new colours

From the Age on Thursday: King's former teammates were happy to see their former skipper get a second chance with the Saints, Mooney said. "Its great to see him out there playing . . . it wasn't so great, I guess, to see him in those colours, but its great for Kingy to be out there playing foot...

I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Pies to miss the 8 (and I'm not basing this on NAB cup form)

what was your favourite highlight?

I found one piece surprising but pleased it was included.
Hey saintbrat, I don't s'pose it was the big roost by the strapping #18 in Grant Thomas was it? Quite a goal indeed.

Obviously the commentators struggled with him - one possession they called him Armitage, another Fisher, another Eddy. Good on him as well as all the Youngbloods.

Haretuku definitely not playing - saw him up in the "corporate box" with the rest of the rested players.

Interesting how peoples views of certain individuals differ so greatly. While I saw the whole game it was difficult to follow some of the lesser lights with numbers that didn't match the team list and given the social nature of the crowd near the caravan with the green cans, it was near impossible t...

Heads up: Luke Ball on SEN's Morning Glory Tomorrow

Not sure what time, but obviously between 6-9am (most likely after 7). The interview was mentioned on this mornings program and it was said that Bally is apparently "FLYING!". Should be very interesting listening.

Definitely Caulfield Grammar, via St. Kilda primary. (By the way saw him on Monday night at the Forum, great gig. Can't believe he is 50!)

This is a bit left of centre - and I'm not insisting this is a great idea, just a thought. Michael Gardiner? Injury history suggests he might not cope with the attrition of the ruck. Takes a good grab, decent kick. A lot of what if's but I thought I'd throw it in the ring.

I thought Roo was our most consistent performer over the year, but Dal's impersonation of Justin Timberlake might be just enough to nudge him over the line for his first Trevor Barker Medal.

When I have a bit more time I might go and trawl through all 4 pages - for now I just wanna say - "Onya Vossy!" just one more time. God knows I've said it that many times during matches when this bloke has put his body on the line again and again. As courageous as they come and a handy set...

That was against the Cats late last year if I'm thinking what you're thinking. Chips intercepted a pass in front of a Geelong player did a 1-2 with BJ ran to 50 and drilled it. Probably the play of last year anyway. For mine this year I would have to go with the Gram torp to Rooey against the Dogs, ...

Remember it well - everyone hit the dirt and Joey was left to scoot away with the spoils. A real Steven Bradbury moment. IIRC Joey centred it to Roo at the top of the goal square for his only goal of the day.

Funny, I was thinking along similar lines to some of the above. Some of Max's spoiling has been phenomenal in recent weeks. Made me realise how much we missed him. Has to be the best in the comp at sticking with a leading forward then getting his fist on the ball - through the arms, around the body....
