"took the high handed decision to sack Thomas without the support of the members", or words to that effect. Fair dinkum! If that is what this is all about, St Kilda FC is doomed. that's when the rot set in for the current administration, unfortunately. made them extremely vulnerable to a ...

to me the fates of both rb and rl are linked. failure to make the finals next year, then both should be shown the door.

but, yes, in the main RB has helped turn st kilda around. had a lot of help from gt, of course.

surely even you would admit that

I agree with the rest of your sentiments but I reckon having a show of hands of members as to whether to sack a coach will not catch on in the near future didn't suggest a show of hands, which is plainly ridiculous. i'm just pointing out that the president and the board should never forget they are...

Re: rb..your club

if you stay in the job to long it becomes your club ... instead of YOUR club gestering to the 300 or so members present. has that time arrived? good question i think it became his club when he and the board took the high-handed decision to sack thomas without regard to what the members thought. man...

Kent Kingsley is a very good player. Has been unlucky not to get too many games with the bottom side this season. Maybe 2nd or 3rd pick or even just a straight swap with someone like Milne or Baker. i thought we learned our lesson getting untalented old forwards to plug gaps with krakour, willo, et...

i think bj can play that (HFF) role, or gilbert. Gilbert no, BJ yes, but wouldn't it be a waste of BJ's influence on a game. This guy is the ultimate utility player. goals are the "ultimate" influence on a game. so would three or four goals added to the lowest scoring team in the competit...

pity. just from observation he seemed like a great guy to have around the club.

had some ability, but was marked down by many for his mistakes. we had worse players on our 2007 list than old ts40

would ts40 slot back in? serious question.

be a handy guy to slot in at half forward alongside roo. quick, can lead and mark and a booming kick.

not saying he's a superstar but i could name a few on our list who are worse value.

and he's still only about 24-25 (i think)

Re: Spotted in Southland

Bakes, Lennie, Schwarta and I think Barry Brooks - sitting around laughing and having coffee. No visible injuries or emotional trauma. No I did not give them the third degree - but i have now seen quite a few players at Starbucks there. don't tell me we're re-drafting my old favourite ts40? w...

"The club is in tremendous financial shape, we will return another million-dollar profit and everyone is applauding the appointment of Ross Lyon."

if what the article says is true then obviously not everyone is applauding it.

hi teflon, thought that might wake you up, spoiling for a blue.

i've made my thoughts on it pretty clear, so no reason to repeat them.

i'd probably trade brooks for jolly ... but i doubt the swans would go for that. we could chuck in RL and RB as well i guess.

What about Rusling from the pies. Has plenty of speed off the mark. Could be good replacement for G. We need a full forward . disagree. either kosi or roo can perform admirably in that role. we need a ruckman to allow kosi to be able to play there rather than being used up for hack work that he's n...

St Kilda has a history of putting EVERY player on a pedestal.........AND NOT being able to make an objective tough call to get the necessary skills compliment for the team that DOES have obvious holes (eg) ruckman, midfielders, another defender. not a big fan of trading good players away, unless th...
