Our boys just better think premiership and bloody play like they want one, and that means clobbering lowly teams. I want to start seeing some of the reputations and potential of a few of our guys start to turn into actual performance -then I'll know we are on the right path.

Regardless of who gets a game and who gets dropped, a team of our talent should have kicked way more than 6 goals last week..so this week I would want to see a better effort from a lot of players whose reputations seem bigger than their efforts.

As Roos knows all too well, the AFL are already proactive with clubs in monitoring tunnelling tactics.

Sheedy was very keen on Roo and would have offloaded a few favorite Bombers to get him if he had been in the position. I suppose out of all the supporters, the Bombers are the biggest pack of knuckle-scraping whingers I have encountered in following footy for years.

The AFL is aware of tunnelling and has advised clubs prior to all of this of its interpretations, so this is not just an isolated reaction. Clearly it was a tactic the Swans used on Roo -or should I say bleedin' bloody obviously. I don't think it is a terrible thing and can be effective, but it is b...

You need someone to break the game open and take a few risks..generally the midfielders and onballers need to to do this, but our guys seem happy playing within themselves a bit too much -blokes like NDS pick up lots of easy possessions, but just don't seem to step on the accelerator enough. BUT we ...

I would wait for a few weeks with BJ and Goose before putting them in.. I would rather see Armo get a run and put a bit more pressure on our midfielders for a place, and Geary should hold his spot, as should LFisher. Raph, Gilbert and Fiora just haven't hit the ground running so far.

Well Carlton and Richmond now have a chronic losing culture and anyway, last year is gone. Seeing GT couldn't win a flag with a team capable of doing that in 04, then we can look forward to how RL tackles that issue this year. From preseason games so far, I sense more desperation at the ball across ...

Great skills -small engine. If we can get him to work a bit harder over four quarters in big games and do a bit better shaking off taggers he will go from very good to elite.

Geelong won the flag through having a balanced team across all positions -and a good run of luck with minimum injuries to key players. We have improved balance from what I have seen so far, RL seems to be a pretty good tactician, and if we keep our better players on the field for the season, then no...

If Gwilt wins the B&F, then that means that we are not relying on the same few big names to carry the team all year..that's been our big problem, the big gap to our second rung players.

Clearly GT didn't know what championship qualities were when he was coach..it's a bit hard to concede the excellence in others when your ego is so big. The fact is that Harvey would have walked into any premiership team in any era and would have been regarded as an all time great -he is anyway.

Let's not live in the past - the days of enforcers are gone and we need to speak with wins, not have loose cannons being suspended and sitting in the stands when they should be on the field contributing to a winning team.

I would be surprised if Goddard plays straight up, maybe a few more weeks. Fiora has disappointed me in the preseason and I would give Jones or Armo the nod on sheer work ethic. Max shouldn't play unless he is 100% as he is not getting over injuries as quick as he used to and gets injured pretty eas...

Need more goal kickers to make a serious challenge this year -that means more from midfield/ onballers, small forwards especially. We seem to be heading in the right direction with recruitment, so see how we go -but Kozi needs to stay in the forward line.

I think NDS still has problems shaking taggers and as highly skilled as he is, he is a bit one-paced and hasn't got the overdrive button that some midfielders have when it counts. On the days he does play well for four quarters, he will get votes, but more consistant players will take votes from him...

Absolutely no doubt that if he had spent his career in a stronger team, he would have been regarded in the elite of AFL, like a lot of Saints players who could have stepped into top teams over the 70s 80s and 90s.

Does what a coach asks and if you look at successful teams in recent times, the good players always put pressure on their opponents and cause pressure and turnovers, which is what CJ is doing, same as Armo..these two are working hard at getting a senior berth.

I've got no doubt that Charlie will be in the 22 if Gehrig is playing, as I think he is going to be swung into FF when Gtrain is having one of his bad days or is a bit proppy -we haven't really had a regular option for that scenario.
