Re: Shaun Higgins

Whilst listening to Gerard Healy bemoaning Armo's possession rate I could but not wonder why Gerard had no such opinion for Shaun Higgins who did seem to struggle for any sought of possession.

Re: Northern Territory GF

I watched him play one game for Sandy in which he was a very wide receiver and a very long way from AFL seniors. Don't shoot me - just what I noticed from the one game I watched which could have easily been a bad day for him.

In this topic I can see that one particular poster has a lot to contribute but fails to contribute their own team for comment. To those that have - nice to read your thoughts even though I may not agree with them.

I watched a game at Sandy that Ross played in and I was not surprised he was delisted and returned to NT. But good luck to him if he has improved his footy out of sight!

I only seen Choo Choo play once at Sandringham but if that day was a typical performance I can understand why he is no longer with us. Decisions have to be made on how many to hold on to and develop.

Spert - I must say that I think your comments fully represent my feelings also about our club. Many may disagree but I feel you have just about summed it up accurately. My observation of last nights game and this year to a degree is - you just can not afford to turn it over with simple mistakes when...

Plugger66, I agree with your comments but unfortunately the other thing is the players who are good enough (i.e. selected in our team) over the years are not good enough now. Tough times - tough decisions needed. Geez that makes it hard for all us poor buggers craving the ultimate for all loyal Sain...

The 2009 and 2010 game plan failed to win us a premiership. Yes we came damn close and with a bit of luck would have won two with that game plan and our players. Now however, that game plan is not winning us games let alone likely to win a GF. Footy and coaching has addressed our plan A. Also the sa...

The wife and I are shouting our Son in Melbourne - flights, accommodation and entry to the GC match for his birthday that W/E.

We thought we better go as well to keep an eye on him and keep him safe as he's only 30!

Love the Liar's Bar so the three of us will be there after the match.

Go Saints!

I can not believe "saintdooley's" ffs comment. Wasn't it from this source within the last few days that gems such as these came: "a brick wall would be more useful" & "do us a favour and retire.....tonight" Oh, well, each to their own rants! PS: no swearing warrante...

I can not believe that McEvoy is not an IN and someone else is an EMERGENCY.

From reading posters rantings following last weeks game I am sure there must be a lot of supporters surprised?

NO come to think of it - it is normal selection policy!

Are some posters for real? Do they not think that GWS etc. etc. watch football matches? How much currency do they think Kosi is worth? First round, second round, third round pick? Check out how many Dreamteam or Supercoach teams Kosi is in - do the supporters know more than AFL club recruiters? Fina...

Our selectors are not too unpredictable - safe and steady - still haven't learnt any lessons about revisiting the past once too often.

Selectors - take a leaf out of the Pies selection criteria!

I don't agree - good disposal on either left or right foot is seen by many Mum's and Dad's watching junior footballl in their parks at the weekend. It would be difficult to learn at 20 years of age if youy couldn't do it at 12!

Steven's was not impressive today but neither were a few mates. To be honest and not just stirring the pot - we do not have a forward line! Bloody hell is it that obvious that Roo can not do every bloody thing - give him some height assistance, and sorry I don't mean Kosi.

The author of the post is passionate and I would say frustrated that he thinks off-field events have robbed him/her of seeing their side have another red hot go at the holy grail. I fortunately was there in '66 and now wish nothing more than to see my two adult sons witness a Saints premiership. Som...

Well yes, Ross does seem to revert back to players he has favoured in the past in Blake, McQ and Baker. Not sure if that will help us find the improvement needed this season. What I absolutely hate however, is that Archer or Stanley were not given enough game time to come to grips with AFL football ...

Very interesting read - I have both books and sorry, but could not dream of parting with them. I think they should remain in posterity with those who love St. Kilda which means I'll pass them on to my two sons who no doubt will do the same one day! Go you good things.

Hey, St Fid - no problem having an opinion and putting it on a board for discussion.

Those who disagree and come up with logical argument are good reads and those that just wish to "stir the pot" can be ignored, although it does get boring skipping past the rants.
