Nothing new on Haynes deal? Very quite on Saints front.
Outside run, elite skilled midfielders must await Us in the draft.
If Mumford retires, GWS may need to up the stakes for HIckey? It's a risk on our side but may be worthwhile if we can land a player of Haynes or Tomlinson calibre?

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Any update on Haynes status? Has Tomlinson leap frogged ?
Would have to think HIckey or Lonie forming some part of a deal if we aren't trading 7,8.

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
That is a fair comment re Trout and finding players with good families and character. Plays a part but end of day we need decent footballers as the first prerequisite!!!
Trout must be under pressure. Last year performance a little underwhelming and his strike rate with rookies is pathetic at best.

Re: Mav Weller news
Agree 100% with posts re his ankle injury. Mav at 70% was still better than Long or Lonie at 100%. He had a 4-6 week ankle injury, but only missed one game. Then rolled the same ankle twice within next 6 weeks. Try kicking a ball and running out games and kicking a ball shot up with painkillers. Not...

Would we take Martin? I have a suspicion we are into him.
History suggests that if you haven't signed by now that the chances of staying are slim.

Re: Competitive Will and Onfield Leadership
I believe one of our biggest weakness right now is our lack of midfield experience. We don't have an experienced head (or two) to take hold of game when it matters. Really miss Armitage as he is our oldest and lost experienced mid.

Apparently Carlisle didn't train at Sandy this morning ?

Membrey replacement ?
Paddy - not sure if 100%, no Footy for 2 weeks, opportunity may give him the opening he needs?
Acres - plays as 3rd tall who gets a run through midfield
Battle - don't think he has done enough?
Hickey - Forward option ? Hard match up in air
Marshall - been swung down back at wrong time

Just checked Zebra twitter
Dunstan 32 disposals- 2 goals
Rice, White & Acres 25 disposals
Fair performance by Acres if reports true he played only a half

Re: The Coach or the List?
We have a serious lack of elite ball users. Billings perhaps ..on his day.
I would look very hard at our Recruiting team. We have far too many guys in the side who under pressure, butcher the ball.
That's why Hawks so good in their day. Elite ball users under pressure.

Spines of plastic .. you would think a response would be in order with hungry players wanting a crack at Senior level.

Hopefully they have a crack and don't put out a "p$ss" weak return.
Stand up and deliver. If Marshall, Long, Rice play well they deserve a crack.

Re: VFL Rd 6 Sandringham vs Nth Blues
What about Hugh Goddard - how is he going ? As a top 20 pick we really need to get him up and going. Seems a little slow, hopeful he can develop. Important player, a backup key back but also as a standalone back to help give us option to swing Carlisle forward. Richo didn't have the courage at 3/4 t...
