Also, can someone clarify the rules for me regarding trading with GC17? For some reason i was under the impression that they dont trade away their high draft picks, but rather, the AFL decides on appropriate commission dependant on the players age etc, and the club gets an extra pick the next year....

Well said. I'm just looking forward to going to the Dome again and watching the RB&W run around. I don't particularly care who the coach/president/CEO is. I've just got to decide whether I pull on the no7 jumper or the no15.
I've even looking forward to hearing Classical Gas again.

One thing you have to remember is that the normal, average 18 year old draftee takes about 3 years to establish themselves. Just because you get the odd freak who looks like they've played 100 games from their first game doesn't change anything. The guys we've drafted in the last couple of years may...

It's very disappointing that a post about two of the clubs best players of the past 40 years is reduced to a slanging match between posters.

Out of the players who were withdrawn from the squad from tonights match, how many have injuries and how many were rested? It seems odd to rest players for the final practice match two weeks out from the start of the season. I know they can play some of them for Sandy next week but surely you'd like...

Playing at the highest level for 21 seasons must count for something. I didn't see Baldock or Stewart live, but I'd have the Saints top 4 (in no particular order) as Lockett, Harvey, Baldock and Stewart. Might be a four way tie. On a separate matter I picked up Harv's book at Chadstone on Saturday f...

The fact that Gardiner played the pre season games shows they did intend to use him when he was recruited.
I must admit, however, that I'd rather see a kid than a GOP from another club (and it's being kind to Charlie to call him a GOP).

I was at training for about an hour. I honestly don't know how people manage to give such detailed reports. I'm struggling to figure out who is who. Kosi spent the whole session away from the main group. Did some laps and some stationery kicking/marking drills with one of the assistants. King and G...

Keep in mind that he cost us nothing. Was thrown in with King for pick 90.

I especially like how Ross is putting on the players to get more out of themselves rather than waiting for a Ben Cousins to come in and take them further.

if he could play... of course. But he can't. Seriously whose spot in the side would he take... either Goose or blake's now i'm not a Blake fan but Jason is a much better footballer I'd rather have Goose with a broken leg. Honestly, has O'Hailpin done anything as a player to suggest he's worth pusui...

I thought Bruce Eva could have infomed the crowd who were wearing what No.s better. Ross Tungatalum seemed to me worried about tackling his team-mates. He caught up with plenty but did'nt apply many tackles. He kicked the majority of the white team score, so hade his presence felt. An effort should...

1. Beat Essendon twice. 2. Have a decent run with injuries that allows us to field close to our best 22 at some stage during the year. 3. See 22 players have a red hot dip every week. Honestly there were weeks this year where I walked out disappointed after a win because the players looked like they...

Re: Telstra Dome...its in a right state at the minute...

It's a shame. I thought they'd finally got the surface right. It seemed to hold up really well throughout last season. Now for the sake of one event they've stuffed it up. Who in their right mind would think "Let's get 40,000 people to jump all over the ground for an entire night and then try t...

The games changes and we have to move with the times. I liked nothing more than to stand in the forward pocket at Moorabbin but those days are gone. Now I sit in comfort at the Dome and listen to the rain outside. If we need 30000+ members and average attendances above that to survive that was never...
