Re: Better team and coach than 2010
I suppose we had more stars in 2010 but if you look at the total list of players we had a lot of duds too. Compare the 2 lists below and I think the 2017 list has an upside which could surpass the 2010 list by the end of the year. 2010 Playing list Name Games Age Birth Date Height Weight Origin Posi...

What's up with this bloke? I've tuned in numerous times to 3AW after 6pm and everytime there's a mention of the Saints he deflects and moves on to another subject. Tonight the subject involved O'Meara and possible best fits as a new destination club. Even though every other Victorian club was talked...

Re: The 'Rain on the Parade' Thread.
Ok, so we had a good season. Won 12 games, and beat two top 8 teams. Nearly beat two others too. Finished 9th and only just missed out on finals! Way, way beyond my expectations for this season. But...... Are we living in a false economy? We played Essendon twice. Carlton twice. Melbourne twice. We...

Re: Saints to Throw Kitchen Sink at Fyfe
Doesn't he have ongoing injury concerns like a few others? Played in about 5 of their last 25 games. This would be my only concern He played in 2015 with that leg fracture which undoubtably led to him re-fracturing it again this year . He then had a plate inserted so you would have to wonder if his...

Re: Terrible decisions at the selection table this week
We went into a game at the grand finalist's big home ground with numerous powerful goal kicking talls in the prime of their career with just Dempster as a regular key defender. Yes, just Dempster, a 190cm guy who only transitioned into defence in the second half of his career. W......T......F? How ...

Well said. It's not all about the now1Bernard Shakey wrote:We did win!
The fact is we are not going to play finals this year and probably not next year either.
The win we had is knowing we're on the right track, with the right game plan to mix it with the best for the second time in a few weeks.

Re: Luke Ball back in the fold????
I can't see how getting together with a few ex team mates helps the club in any way. It gives the club a chance to give something back to the past players. It shows the current players that they'll be looked after and always welcome at the club for the rest of their lives, instilling a sense of fam...

Seems to be blitzing Port Adelaide and I know a good game does not necessarily make for a good season. BUT!!
Good Luck to him but If so, didn't we give him enough chances?

I agree, some of the frees given were petty and perplexing.
I hope it doesn't mean we need to do more acting lessons to win a game of football.
Duck your head and diving at the opportune time could mean the difference between winning and losing.
Bit sad really if that's the way the game is heading.

ABSOLUTELY!! I'd choose Sloanesaintbob wrote:Armo definitely, if Rooey wants to give it up.

Would probably have to give either the job to get the deal done
