Re: Saints Diamond Member Event
Another thing that was raised at the meeting was the promotion of The Saints Bequest Society. Neil Roberts was there to talk this through with anyone wishing to leave a few $ for the Saints when they die. A lot of Private Schools do the same thing also as do several other organisations. Another good...

Plugger was the best player to take the game by the throat and win the game. Not nice, just ruthless.

Re: Scott Watters interview on footy show tonight
And Yet; correct me if I'm wrong. When Lyon left and The Saints recruitment panel interviewed our 3 finalists wasn't it between Richardson, Watters and Hinkley?

Re: Jack Billings
We needed an elite midfielder he will never be that! We needed outside & break away speed he wont provide that. He will be a good forward however, similiar to Nathan BrowTt but not the midfielder the Saints hoped he would be.... Far too early to surmise that. A few summers in the gym (or 1 summ...

Re: The Pelican
We haven't had father son advantages like Geelong so those comparisons are irrelevant.
If we had Hawkins, Scarlett and Ablett , maybe we could have won a couple.
Makes me pewk really. The rules will probably change when Roo has his boy quad birth.

Re: St Kilda going home !!
The Saints should be commended for the way the marketing department have been pushing our Bayside presence. We are the only side with presence in the South Eastern suburbs. We've sponsored several local Bayside events including The Big Swim (Frankston to Mt Martha). We've pushed our case for several...

What if, as a result of the current investigations it was discovered that Collingwood players were using illegal peptides in 2010?

Re: What's our gameplan?
Can anyone tell me what a game plan is apart from get ball?
OK, my game plan would be
1) Get Ball
2) Keep ball
3) Kick more goals than opponent
4) Win game
Yay. I get $500K a year as best coach.

Re: St.Kilda FC Supporter Existensial Crisis
Excellent topic. It seems we threw everything at trying to get our second flag at the expense of sustained success like the so called more sensible clubs like Geelong and Collingwood. (Father / Son rules cost us as well). Totally understandable decision in my opinion. We were unlucky; simple as that...

Maybe. He just doesn't get it enough. Maybe Roo has to play up the ground so that the players can look for him instead.

Re: Club is on the up!!
Agree. I particularly like the honest up front approach. Unlike Carlton we admit to the need for a re-build and are going about it with everyone on board. I like Richardson's address to Saints members via email also. Encourages people to become and remain members. Marketing aiming at embracing the w...

Re: Reality check
The reality check from today is around our class. The gruelling Perth trip took away the pressurising intensity that has seen us post impressive results thus far in Richo's honeymoon phase. What we were left with is pretty average ball usage from the likes of Jones, Ray, Geary, Maister, Savage. Pel...

Condemned before the season by 75% of journos to win the wooden spoon. Riewoldt supposedly eking out his career with a bottom side while Goddard and Dal have gone to potential flag-winning sides. Isn't it funny, Maister really has a bit of Raph Clarke in him... He does some of the hard things really well... works hard, splits packs, a real skill at bringing the ball down to his team mates advantage, knows where to run. He really gives you the impression he knows how to play. Then you see hi...

Who cares. If we win, great, if we don't so what.
As long as we BUILD.
We've basically demolished half our house.
The solid Reiwoldt and Hayes foundations remain
and from this base we can build our future side.

Re: I love Roo
Roo has been a great leader (on field) If I was CEO I would ask Roo to embrace Seaford (at least publicly) Not a good look promoting us as the Bayside club when players like Roo complain about the travelling time from Brighton to Seaford. Some of our younger (hopefully next premiership players) are ...
