Is Geary a true midfielder? Eddy is, but i'm not sold on Geary yet, he has been playing behind the ball for the Scorpions in a lot of his better games.

That's a pathetic way of thinking about it.

If we lose, we are crap
If we win, we are crap, but not as crap as the opposition.

Alright. Fit for last 2 years agreed. How many games under 2 different coaches. 3. Are both coaches wrong? Retirement of Gehrig, and Kosi playing more in the Ruck than forward must have something to do with his selection in 2008. Surely with all of the retirements and delistings this year, to drop ...

I wouldn't want him. Unless we didn't have to give up much for him.

Is basically Rix who is slightly better around the ground.

If he is 24-25 then we should have a punt, 3rd round pick + a player at best though.

Seriously though, see what we need in our team in 3 years time. No draft pick should be expected to come up in their first or second years. So let's look at our team in 2011 (or at the end of 2010) and where it would be deficient. Let's call 31 at the end of a season "retirement age", if w...

If only we could do a carlton and play the strategy of: Flood, put numbers behind the ball and take up all the low picks.

Nope, preseason games don't count towards suspension, and if you get done in the preseason you miss AFL games.

Lacks composure under pressure, hopefully the more games he gets into him, the more confidence he gets and can shrug this tag.

We only need to delist as many players as we want to draft. Here is what I would do as a minimum. Jones -> Don't retain Harvey -> Vet. list Hudgton -> Vet. List Geary/Eddy -> Promote one of. (Saves salary cap by being able to cut Max and Harvs' contribution to the cap by half) Attard -> Promote + pu...

Delistings

Raymond
Gwilt
Sweeney
Jones

And I don't want Seaby. Prefer Gardiner/Kosi/Brooks/Blake ruck division.

Obviously you trade quality for quality, we have to look at players who can be replaced with as good as, or better replacements.

Milne
L. Fisher
R. Clarke
Ferguson
Watts
Brooks
S. Fisher

Edit: Removed S. Fisher.

Looks like we get the same picks as last year, if my calculations are correct.

Pick 1 - Carlton PP
Pick 18 - Richmond PP
Pick 19 - Carlton PP

So, my shopping list.

Pick 9
Pick 27
Pick 43

Rookie Pick 8
PSD Pick 8

He NEEDS a lot of one-on-one tuition. He is not up to it at VFL level this year (granted he has not had a pre-season, but it's now round 22).

Saints need to bring in a forward line coach who can develop Fergus and get some new forward structures in place.

I think that Watts' VFL form shows that he isn't up to it.

My idea is to play Brooks and Kosi as our Ruck duo, rotating through Ruck and FF. If (when) Gardiner is right, Kosi can stay as a permanent FF, and the second ruck spot can be fought out between Rix, Brooks and Van Rheenen.

If Wall has the closing speed of a Max Hudgton (few if any do) then we should definitely persist with him. If the majority of his spoils are body-on-body contact with VFL level forwards, and he can't put any more muscle on - get rid of him. The days of Gorilla forwards are over, so the need for a mu...

I logged on today to post a thread re: Fev, then saw this thread and came to post the same.

IF we can fit him in the salary cap, and IF we can get him for a decent price (probably draft picks + a okay player) then we should go for him.

However, don't trade Goddard for Fevola.

MSG was right.

Clintion Jones, useless.

If he's not gone after that effort, i'll be disappointed.

Stands back and is more of a spectator than a player. Is not as quick as people make out, and is easily knocked off his feet.
