Re: Sam Mitchell on Harves
Robert Harvey in his prime was the best midfielder in the game. Apparently games are won or lost in the midfield? Still, we under sell his greatness His 97/98 was close to the best two seasons ever played by a saint For a start he got 60 Brownlow votes Won the media awards Averaged 32 possessions Ha...

I think it's piss poor form
It's a forum, opinions are welcome, even contrary ones
When we start telling people what they are allowed to think and say... it's an unhealthy situation

Re: WAFL thrash VFL again
It's not a reflection of the competition at all?
It's stupid!
Every week 80% of the best players in the VFL are AFL listed
It's basically three clubs best players and a sprinkling of top up players at aligned clubs.
Sandy at Full strength would give the VFL team a run

Re: Not at AFL standard
Guys, Have we ever played a game as a deep small forward, and understand the difference to playing in the midfield. 1/ you have less room to get a kick i50 2/ you have a defender riding shot gun 3/ you get limited chances, most entries centre around Key Talls 4/ you generally rely on quality and spe...

Re: Positives: McCartin was good
Speed is good, watched him running through Pre Season
Bruce absolutely burns him! Watched him in the VFL, never gets separation?!
If his speed is good, why can't he get any split??
Riewoldt has good speed.

What I can say is
Nathan Brown is not a good match up for Jake Stringer
Nor is Jake Carlisle
And blind Freddy could have picked that before the ball was bounced

Correct
And I agree, he may turn out a good player
But the concerns are;
Double grabbing
Terrible running capacity
Speed

Re: The effect of "Sledgegate"
It had zero to do with our performance Selection did Lachie Hunter did Stringer did Lack of forward structure did No conduit back to forward did But not something that happened two weeks ago... I sledge in a game, to get an immediate unwanted reaction from opposition... make them change a decision o...

Re: Why no 50 m penalty to Gresham?
Time off was called because he marked the ball in play and went over the boundary line and had to reset and kick over the mark... Billings ran through the mark at that time, and his opponent followed him... that simple. Gresham was not even in the act of moving forward to kick, he was getting in lin...

Because he was following Jack Billings through and time off had been blown. Did not deviate from following Billings

Re: After the bye if we lose to.....
I laugh when people point to small forwards as an issue? Getting smashed and performance of small forwards isn't generally the reason why?? It's like at local or Junior level when a bench is used to rotate pockets whilst midfields are what's the issue... Hmm ... We are getting easily beaten, what ca...

Re: VFL Rd 7 Sandringham Vs Footscray
They would play on a variety of grounds that exist in the VFL Moorabbin does not even have facilities? They (Sandy) have a coach who is employed by StK. they play Players play in the Dev league because that's where their ability and experience suggests they should be? If they were good enough they'd...

Re: Positives: McCartin was good
That's the obvious set up?
If Paddy did not come into the game in the last quarter... he should have been dropped. But he started providing a good target late... perhaps because the game slowed a bit??
