Ratten has a lot to answer for. Bought in to improve ball movement.

Time to go. Seriously...how many more games of that shite do we have to suffer through. Embarrassing he has survived this long. While I’m at it... Dunstan - list clogger of the highest order Newnes - been there far too long for zero return. Incredibly disappointing player Long - overhyped player. A...

Re: Not a bad effort v Eagles

All things considering, it wasn't a bad effort against the reigning premiers to go down by 3 goals. If 4-5 blokes we have out injured at the moment were chucked into that lineup tonight then we have a pretty good side going forward that could challenge top 8 sides. We got beat in the guts badly and...

Re: Unofficial match thread v Eagles

Get f***ed Ross 100% - I can’t have him. Horribly overrated. Slow, can’t kick, one sided, doesn’t hit the scoreboard. Him and a Dunstan can both just fvck right off Disagree about Dunstan. He gets amongst it, but Ross won't, or can't, win a hard ball, or run hard defensively. Yep Dunstan one our be...

Re: Unofficial match thread v Eagles

Now we are out of the 8 and not coming back perhaps the club can think: - we should not play Newnes again; - Or Long until he can actually do something regularly in VFL; - Parker needs to develop his craft to be able to score against a finals side and should perhaps go to VFL for a while; - Webster...

Re: Clark facing the axe

The data also shows that out of the last 13 occasions we replaced the head coach, we went backwards 9 times. So we only improved 30% of the time... we went backwards 70% of the time (in w/l ratio). And this data spans a lot longer than 5 years... (by the way, 5 years, 2 of which are injury-riddled,...

Re: Clark facing the axe

Does the data take into account the headwinds and the fact that we're outperforming/beating expectations based on our list and injuries? Every team has injuries. 5+ years is a large sample size, we’re not talking about a 1 or 2 year coach. The head coach sets the agenda for the club. 100+ games, no...

Re: The F word

Yes big game today. The biggest for our club in a couple of seasons. Must get good games out of most senior players today. We are playing the premier s though who will hit back at some time. Possibly today so perspective is needed. They have mature and seasoned players, but we are a legitimate chanc...

Re: Clark facing the axe

The challenge is and always has been consistency... nothing wrong with a guy like Clarke getting a taste and going back to work on a few things. Where it gets more contentious is you look at Long, DMac Acres, Kent, Sinclair, Gresh and Parker over a few weeks (who have played good games and bad ones...

Re: Max at CHB?

With hindsight, I wish that we had protected Paddy somewhat by playing him for a season or two at CHB, a little like we did with Roo early in his career. Got me thinking that this could be a wise thing to do with the light frame of King as he adjusts to the game at the highest level. With our poor ...

What are people talking about.. clearly our development is a problem.. ‘billing’s develipment has been good’ what planet are you all living in? Re: team for round 8

It's difficult for me to be critical of this weeks team, the fact is that we are in the top 8 already, and we can expect to start getting good players back after the bye. Believe it or not, we are a chance for the finals. And we are playing a good team who are not playing well at our home ground. T...

Re: Clark facing the axe

If we are serious contenders in 2019 then fair enough, but with our injuries to key personnel, isn't it time the footy department reassess their goals for this year? I believe young blokes need a plan. They need certainty and they need a disciplined coach who they can trust. Tell the kid at the sta...
