Forward Structure - Next 3-4 weeks...

Until #12 reaches peak fitness, form and touch we should play Rhys Stanley either as : a) 3rd tall forward, or b) rotating with #12 off the bench, or c) in place of #23 (#23 to play ff/ruck) Watching the game live on Saturday we lost all forward structure when #12 went off for a rest. Even when he w...

CH 9 are scum of the earth....

Irrespective of the outcome of the police investigation, the reporting of this story is a disgrace and all St Kilda people should make this point known in every way they can possible. e.g calling radio stations, print media etc. Not only is this slanderous of #11 and #44 but at NO TIME does CH 9 exp...

Milney's improvement in 2010

This guy is having a bloody good year so far. In the absence of #12 he has been the only forward who has consistently stepped up, even in WA where he previously would not have. After what would have been a touch pill to swallow (last years GF), he has taken his game to the next level with greater co...

In today's HS Milney is compared to Leon Davis, what a joke.

All this article does is show how overrated Davis is and will always be.

#1 is just as important to us as #12.....

Whilst all the talk is about the imminent return of #12, I also cant wait for the return of a fit and injury free #1. When Grammy has played this year he has been half fit at best and we have not had as near as much run and breaking the lines from him as last year One of the reasons our forwards hav...

Peake

I thought tonight he was reasonably clean with the footy.

Showed some run and used the ball OK. Early on in the year he looked ordinary but now seems to understand our game style much better.

If he keeps this form up should hold a place in the 22...

Looking forwards to finals we need Kosi to be our 2nd key forward, Rooey cant do it by himself. If we play him rotating ruck / forward then when he finds a bit of form we can swing him forward. We have to keep persisting hoping he will find form. It might frustrate a lot of our supporters but how we...

p66, i'd rather we play gardi ruck then rotate through FF than rest him at this stage. His form is solid and we are going to need him against Freo and Geelong after next week. That being said we could rest him next week but going into Freo and Geelong we need to smash the Tigers to start to hit bett...

His 2nd efforts were good and gave good contests on most occasions

He adds a different dimension to our forward line.

Lets hope he stays in when #12 returns, unfortunately it could be at the expense of #23.....

More and more looks likes he is a smart footballer - reads the play and positions himself better every week.

As long as stays fit we must keep playing him this year into finals later on. Vs last year in finals he will offer us more than Kingy did...

Playing him in the ruck must be the next option. He was competitive tonight but never looked like taking a mark, contested or un-contested. What Stanley showed tonight were 2nd efforts at ground level. He might not be super strong but had a couple of goal assists If Kosi cant find form next week the...

Potential Rookie Elevations after Rd 11 ??

After Round 11 under AFL rules we have the option to elevate a rookie should we have a player who will be on the LTI for the rest of the year. If Luke Miles injury puts him out for the rest of the year then this gives the chance to promote a rookie. Our current rookie playes (excl Jarryd Allen) are:...

In the last 10 years how many premiership teams relied on one player?

#12 is one of the greats but if we continue to build a game around just him I would have thought thats also called "putting your eggs in one basket".

* Pace
* Enthusiasm
* Brought Kosi into the game with great kick

If the only thing he does (which hell do more) is help lift Kosi's confidence then he may have done the impossible.

If you do what you always did you will get what you always got. Point being, if we never take a chance on our young players i.e Stanley, A Smith, Walsh etc and continue to play the same group then will we ever know if they could have improved us a team and maybe win a few more games? Two years ago w...

If yesterday's game showed us anything it was the importance of Ruckman who can play forward. Ryder, Hille and Big Gardi showed us that. If Macca is to take the next step then he needs to develop is marking and goal kicking skills Given the lack of run/speed in our team right now we'd have to seriou...
