From the AFL site: The incident was assessed as negligent conduct (one point), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points) and totalled 125 demerit points. However with no existing good or bad record, with an early plea Goodes can reduce that figure by 25 per cent – to 93.75 points – a...

STILLWAITING - I'm still hoping... I am still hoping too, but this is just to painful, and even when they win its still so awful to watch. I fear the only thing we can do is have a clean out (coach included) and draft quality youngsters. No rejects from other clubs, (although king was a good choice...

Finally!

Quoted from http://www.saints.com.au/tabid/5315/Default.aspx?newsid=61058 The coach changed up his midfield in the final term to inject the pace of Jason Gram, Sam Fisher and Brendon Goddard which he felt was necessary to complement the class of Luke Ball, Lenny Hayes and Nick Dal Santo. “We’re ...

Zone defence vs man on man

I was at the game yesterday and was really happy with the pressure and zoning that we were doing in the first quarter to keep the ball in our fwd line, especially when the dogs had possession. Sure we didn't convert our opportunities when they came along, but at least we were in the contest. I have ...

Love the positive and fun posts, but there may be a chance that it will be Harvey missing the game after failing a fitness test...

Rob Harvey to miss Dogs game?

From a good source - Harvey has strained a calf and will be tested in the morning.

There's a fair chance he won't play.

Please don't tell me they'll then bring in Fiona...

Yep! We can't get the ball in the forward 50 enough. And when we do we can't kick. Or our fwds don't want to kick the goals they're paid to. How often have we seen Roo and Kosi in the last few weeks, or even Charlie Gardiner, look to pass the ball off when they're lining up for a shot on goal withi...

Here's a thought... Retire the jumper at the end of the season (if he does retire - current form has him going round again!)out of respect for the great man. Then maybe have a look at what Richmond have done. Their captain wears #17 as a mark of respect for one of their greatest players in Jack Dye...

Thanks for backing me up with even more positive info, Jeff.

Whereas we went with an untried bloke had, admittedly, done a fair apprenticeship, but I don't know if he'd ever LED his own team (like Craig at Norwood).

I reckon it's absolute folly to hire a coach who lacks senior experience - and I'm not just talking AFL level. No doubt you want someone who has been in the AFL system but I'd prefer someone who has had control of their own team at some stage. IMO that experience is more important than anything you...

Nice idea.

A simple single chant of "Banger" would work just as well as the old Woof for Ang Christou, the deep "oo" call for Cooney and Ricciuto, and I'm sure there are other examples out there.

Get on it Saints supporters!

A team that's won half as many games and who weren't touted as a premiership prospect at the start of the year. Are you happy to compare our supposedly elite midfield to one who is re-building?
