But there is an irony of the St Kilda Football Club sitting on the bottom, looking at the gods above us as they self destruct.
Except for the Bulldogs, my colleagues reaction to Griffin's announcement was one of disbelief and we've been there and done that.

Neither do I but that was the question they asked. Maybe it's a case of what's already contracts and payments will remain status quo, but from now on in, the rest subsidies means the money from Cola will actually towards what it is supposed to do, help players cope with the Sydney residential market...

The first follow up question on SEN does this mean the Swans can't trade players out? e.g. Membery to us?

But they always go back to the AFL in season 2015 and ask if their Cola can be raised just a teeny weeny bit, say $1million per annum, and will probably be granted it.

Re: Official Grand Final discussion thread
I live in the hope that one day I can see the Saints play with a ferocity and aggression similar to Hawthorn. Sorry, you could not have been watching in 2009-2011. Our endeavour was the best in the AFL. It's the skill level of Hawthorn that is so much better than we were, particularly down to the 2...

We'll never know until the injunction is lifted, but considering Dimwit hinted in a season some players took time off for mysterious injuries and Buddy did six weeks with a hamstring, you have to wonder.

I was going to say How relieved was the AFL when.....
Buddy didn't win.
After all, how could the press write a feel good story about coming back from the dangers of three strikes and winning the Brownlow and alike when the court injunction is still in place.

Well done. Can look for faults but got the most disposals, the third most tackles and the second most clearances. Ans uses the ball better than it looks. Ducks his head and plays for free kicks more than anybody in the league. In essence he is a cheat. Then be even glader Sellwood didn't win. He is...

The demographic of forty or so years of membership seemed to be the attraction, except the Centrelink years for me are a few years of.
I'm sure they'll be some further publicity about it in the coming weeks.

Goddard was/is a great player for us and for Essendon! I'm not going to cry over spilt milk, he's gone and we move on, but his attitude toward the "drugs scandal" amazes me! He would have more class if he simply got on with the job of representing the Essendon footy club on the field (whi...

Re: Zac Dawson , if you can't appreciate what he does
I appreciated Zac's work in the back line playing for the Saints.
What I didn't appreciate is him walking out saying he owed everything to RL, and nothing to the St Kilda Football club in recruiting him from Hawthorn.
