Re: Saints targeting Whitfield?
Of course we are looking into him, I'm sure we are looking into most players we deem worth the pick value we are willing to give up. If we put all eggs in one basket we will probably be waiting yet another year

Re: Congrats Nathan Wright
Much prefer Wright in our forward line compared to a Lonie. Lonie may be more agile but you don't need to go around players when you can go straight through them! Also adds a higher level of defensive pressure and better above the head.

Re: Holy shyte, we are $11M in debt!
As people have said, a building development is the partial cause and we have the AFL backing us. Brand new TV deal has kicked off this year in 2017 running till 2022 worth $2.5billion, I see little cause for concern.
Debt isn't always a great indicator for financial position either.

Lol funny thread.
Perspective, last season a team won all three preseason games. all 3 losers made finals, the winner did not, that's how important it is.

Re: Uncontracted Giants
we seem to be in the bargain hunter market and have a good strike rate of late but I don't think we willl find a bargain here with every club looking to stock up. Are we prepared to make a large leap of faith offer like the dogs did, or are we gonna tip toe around it and end up with nothing. Facts a...

Re: Paddy Needs to Change the Way He Plays
Head gear does nothing. And so many concussions in the game these days come from impact to the jaw line, helmets don't cover that. As for head contact all they do it protect the skin as concussion results from the brain bouncing around in the skull, so unless you can get padding in there it's not go...

Re: Five reasons not to go for Fyfe next year
Bit harsh dangerfield, dragged an average list to the equal best record of the season and polled the most brownlow votes in history. Ditto franklin, and won a Coleman there and was 1 goal off doing it again. question isn't did they win but would they have been as good. Anything can happen in finals,...

Re: I think we need to talk about David Armitage!
I see where you are coming from skeptic. The team can't put all its eggs in the "great guy and hard at it" basket. As much as I like armo we have 20-25yo players that play the same spot. I'm not saying gift it to them but when they start earning it something has to give, then what do you do?

afl would be better off doing nothing than accepting something was wrong and slapping them with a feather as punishment.
Most of their picks these days would be lucky to have a run on the park anyway, why would they care for these sanctions.

"Moorabbin resident Gillian Lelah spoke out against plans to place the pokies near a bar “in the face of young people” in the new complex at a Kingston Council meeting earlier this year. “Research by Gambling Research Australia, indicates that 18 to 24-year-olds spend more on poker machines tha...

So what can they do over there that we can't somewhere in Australia? Assuming he is just going to be on a stringent exercise regiment with some scans thrown in.
News on BF is he has been spotted in a gym working legs quite a bit so I don't see why he wouldn't be ready come next season.

Not really surprised, even by Eli. Didn't see him passing anyone on the list anytime soon so it was either him or Sinclair. Both currently behind lonie but all 3 are sandy regulars, gotta spread the talent pool.

Cmon guys, so pessimistic. Going by last year it's a tough schedule but surely we have improved too!
If 2 guys breakout like Ross we will be set with our more stable defensive unit. Hopefully it's acres and paddy.

Thought the pride game was our initiative, or was it both clubs as Sydney will host this season. 2 v Richmond, 2 v north all in the back half of the season should see us finish strong like last season matched with winnables against Gold Coast, Melbourne, freo and port. Think the 2 demons games will ...
