Re: Billings and mccartin
So our #1 pick is now a role player, so Membrey gets a lesser defender? Btw McGovern rarely takes the main forward, in fact the opposite... he likes to play off his man, so they send him to the second or third... like Carlisle or Roberton Grundy plays on the slowest tall... always has... I think we...

Re: A win
I've calmed down, we had more behinds then they had scoring shots. Could have been 60-70 point demolition but I'll take the 30 and hope we turn it around and spank the pies

Re: Billings and mccartin
Membrey is the definite beneficiary of mccartin taking a defender. Said earlier, he is structural. Lions had players dropping into his hole all game also.

Re: Billings and mccartin
I'd persist with mccartin for the time being, impact or not we are getting a great number of scoring shots so structurally something is right. Billings was disappointing, even his skills were a let down today. Running through areas where the ball was 2 tackles and 14 disposals? Never on the end of t...

End of last season we knew we would lose one of our back duo that held us together back there for so long, never thought it would end up being both. Great player and mr reliable.

No real legends after the early 2000s, list isn't as impressive as one would think.

Re: Welcome back Dal
Glad we have done right by him and taken him back. Good for the club, good for the culture. Wonder how many of our boys we will pinch back for various roles at the club. Get Harvey back off the pies, surely cant be good being under Bucks at the current moment unless he is eyeing that position which ...

Re: North Melbourne Looking to Cut in on Our Lunch
Kangas done okay here, just have a look at all the players that GWS need to resign, something has got to give.. Made a lucrative offer that will set him up for life + Melbourne market with endorsement deals will probably being thrown in as a selling point. Whether he is 9year worthy, i dont know. I ...

Re: Jaeger. The one that got away?
Perhaps but we already had our injury project player in freeman that many think we overpaid for. If we doubled down on the risk with jaeger there may have been a lynch mob down at seaford if it didn't work. Happy to have 2 1st rounders this year. Big difference with Freeman tho who's basically been...

Yup, if that means you're destined to be a great player off the back of just one such performance then we had one of the true greats of the game in clint jones.saintspremiers wrote:Jaegermeister is a spud.

keep our 2 selections and pick quick quick quick but tough midfielders with elite kicking bring in restricted and unrestricted free agents fyfe and pittard will do me (Dusty or rRckliff as back up if Fyfe is a no go) ... because you know what you are getting with these guys for 5 years Leave the ki...

What about these examples? The free kick paid against Steven for deliberate out of bounds when tackled right on the boundary and the non-decision for Gaff's kick out of bounds Push in the back to Hill paid vs non decision for Kennedy pushing Brown in the back A goal review prompted by crowd reactio...

Re: We need to talk about Paddy.
The fear was real, dogs went a full premiership window without luring a forward. And they are still taking aged veteren to fill the role now. Rumour is Boyd last year was paid $1.7million as he was on rookie wages before that so I doubt we ever wanted to go that route. And besides people always say ...

Was fuming at the first quarter soccer kick by Webster, that was a massive goal that we gifted with an extremely poor decision. Easily could have picked up and hacked it if he needed to and put an extra 30 on the ball.

Re: Fitness??
Last week against Melbourne we were massively over-run in the second half. This week the same story in the last quarter. Seems to me our inability to run out games has cost us both matches. Because the entire game plan is built on manic pressure and no skill. This is an unsustainable game plan and ...

Plus he can't ruck. He showed that last year. He's about 5cm too small and doesn't have the body Agreed. Use Carlisle as the back up ruckman. Don't like the idea of Hickey having spells down back. He doesn't like defending. Bruce could go back and rest Hickey forward. But I hear Carlisle hates ruck...
