Re: eddie mcguire can go ..
A mate of mine used to play for Geelong when Eddie was just a Journo tyring to make his mark back in the late 80 and early 90s and reckons that Eddies reputation was that of a Suck-Hole groupie. Used to worm his way into the change rooms after games and suck up to players and invite himself out to ...

I think the point of the post is players are nominating the Saints even though we train in Seaford. If Seaford was such a deterent, they wouldn't nominate us at all whether we need FB, ruck, etc.

Re: Chants for games?
Although it's not a chant as such, there was a guy back in the Moorabin days who stood under the VB sign near the animal enclosure. Used to yell out this long "CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNN", then after a pause, the whole bay would shout "SAINTERS!" Always loved that ...

Re: Feeling sympathy for Docker fans
Another thing to remember is the game plan was designed to counteract the way Geelong played the game. At the time they were the benchmark and Ross repeatedly reference them when talking about the game plan. The way the cats handballed back to the player in space to create their run was negated by t...

Member's tickets for QLD games
For the QLD Sainters, I haven't received an email from the club regarding dates for organising tickets to the metricon and gabba games. Can you post what the dates are?
I emailed the membership department but haven't heard back.
Cheers

I just love the energy of all the kids... They're just jumping out of their skin to keep getting games in the seniors. And there appears to be a real belief when they get a run. When the youngsters played under the previous regime - Archer, Stanley, Cripps et al - they ran around looking like they ...

Re: Watters appears to be working his way through the list
I reckon we were playing a style of surge the ball forward quite a lot, that the smalls/mids/speedy guys were supposed to run at it? Milne, Stanley (even Jones kicked a nice one of those I think) Hayes (though unfortunately missed a couple) seemed to be clicking and attempting this more as the game...

One thing for sure is that if we play a loose man across half back, they will need to be willing to crash the pack running backward and hitting it head on....(who has the balls???????????????????) The first name that comes to mind is Raph. Countless time he's run backward into packs with no regard ...
