Stuart Trott was absolutely blitzing the Hawks in the '71 GF.
If that thug Matthews had not ironed him out with an elbow, that year would have been flag #2.

Re: Adam Skrobalak
The dud coaches at our club, whether good players(Hamill) or not, have been here long enough to know they are duds.
So Pi$$ them off.
That includes F….ing admin and dud recruiters too.
Where is the quality control and KPIs in the organization?
Pi$$weak on and off the field.

Re: Adam Skrobalak
Need a total clean out of all assistant coaches and anybody from the Richo era including Lethers except maybe Ratts. There is a stain in the club and it needs a complete overhaul. These performances would not be tolerated by any other original club.

Re: Long and Lonie
Agree, stick Long in Lonie’s forward pocket and his manic attack will scare defenders and cause goals. Back him in. Lonie….don’t want to see him in the jumper again.

Re: Mid-season draft: closest to the pin
Despite the risks of hoping for too much from a brief highlights package, I really liked Sharman's field kicking too. Like a big quality mid, putting the pill to the spot where the guy is running to, or should be running to. Let's hope he can build a tank.

Re: Does Kingy Even Like Playing
Decent development coaches would have ensured Max develops a full forward ready body before he is asked to play week in week out against monster full backs with the ball kicked on his head continuously. No other club would expect this of a 202cm super thin guy, in his second year back from an ACL. H...

Re: The we’re not fit MYTH
Injuries have cost the team excellent runners: Gresham, Jones, Paton, Marshall(for his size a big midfielder too. That has hurt. However I see a lack of forward structure and tactics hurting the team re running. The guys up the ground bust a gut to get it down there, but there is no spread, nothing ...

Re: Does Kingy Even Like Playing
Are we saying Roughead is no good? He’s the one that works closely with Max And why does Ratten need an assistant to show him about game plan, tactics and strategy? Firstly - isn’t Rath there for that Secondly - isn't Ratts job to devise the GP and strategise? Yeah, I’ll call it. I reckon Roughie i...

How many coaches does it take to develop young players? The club is full of f&$in coaches and for years they have not been able to develop as well as other clubs. Time to pi$$ them off and get in some decent personnel. For that matter, pi$$ them all off and get in an assistant to Ratts who has s...

When, just when have the saints benefitted or came out in front on trade. NEVER. Ryder and Howard trade Butler trade Zac Jones trade Really? I was referring to trading players rather than picks. We are usually on the wrong side of the ledger, but I think people are negatively exaggerating our tradi...

On 360 tonight with the jumper he designed. Love to get one. Absolutely love the guy. Nicky is my all-time favourite Saints player...and I've been around long enough to see plenty of great ones. I was there on that great day at Victoria park in 1993. Willy wagtails are my favourite native Australia...

Re: Tony74 commented (heading updated)
We know the boys are trying, but clearly not trying hard enough A key problem is that team play goes out if the opposition is on their game. And in football today without team play, you get cut to ribbons. Just playing see ball, get ball is not effective. A simple example was against the Tigers tha...

Appalling and highly insensitive thread title. Yep . Lost my father to cancer and nearly lost a daughter. I hear you and can relate to your sadness. I am done with this “era”. Never liked the CEO, particularly, after the Richo contract extensions. St Kilda - the club for good blokes! Hannebery- publicly questioned choice. Never made st kilda top 10 b&f Hill - overpaid for him and non performer who doesn’t make the b&f top 10 Don’t get m...

This is the worst of it...we are going to have these expensive millstones, or the aftermath of these crazy trades, suffocating the club for years to come. For a lot of them, as described earlier, there is no choice but to face a cut our losses situation and bundle them up and out. 2020 was a tease, ...

Re: It's the realisation that...
The plans for short-term success have been thrown into disarray, big time. The club owes we long-suffering supporters an honest appraisal of what has gone wrong and what will be done about it. This is a real kick in the guts after last year. As others have noted: there is no integrity in selection. ...

What a shock!
Last week’s capitulation was no fluke after all.
This team is full of pretenders
