Not just Wines and Wingard. Hartlett, Boak and Gray were terrific for them also. We have a couple more absolutely crucial years of recruiting ahead.

Spencer's big day- Aug 24th 2014
Thanks for posting SB. What a fantastic video compilation of big Spence's debut. The grab of his mum at the end is just great. First vision I have seen of the moment in the ?3rd Q when he nearly burnt off the defender with leg speed. Thrilling stuff A really exciting opportunity awaits this young ma...

We need a few tough nut mongrels out there and in an on-ball brigade of Longer, Armo and Mav I reckon we've got them.

Re: Mitch Clark
To me it seemed like his depression was precipitated by his recurrent injuries and compounded at the end by a sense of guilt that he was taking significant coin from Melbourne that he finally realised he was going to be unable to give them much for. So he retired and gave up some of the $ he could h...

Re: Sam Reid (swans)
Reid is a good player. IMO we should use a pick 1 or 2 on either the best mid or a key forward. No point in getting a gun ruck, or key back... you can mould a team defence without having to use a high pick on a CHB. History also suggests that the top ruckmen can come from anywhere in the draft. A wo...

Re: Milera
He looks decent on the outside in our team given our extreme lack of quality there. However he is incredibly soft in the contest. His one highlight of the day was good but it relied upon an opponent's error. Other than that he lost many one on ones and squibbed at least one marking contest. That sor...

On the 60 bus going up Beaufort St right now. Hopefully a burger/chips with my name on it and a Saints win at the other end... assuming I overcome the awful diesel fumes emanating from this bus!!

Okay so I find myself a long way from home this week. In Perth for a conference at the Convention Centre until mid week so I'm searching for a pub to watch the game in on Monday. Any suggestions? Trav? Defacto? Others?

Re: Siposs - Any chance he's going to make it?
He can't back it up K. He's a long kick. That's about it. He has ordinary fitness, has at best moderate skill by hand, isn't quick and isn't particularly penetrating with his passes. His field kicks go a long way but he doesn't have the skill or vision to pinpoint a player. I don't think he'll make ...

Re: 2013 drafting and trading
Yep. It certainly sets us up well. 3 on that list are already capable AFL players with potential improvement to come (Billings, Dunstan, Delaney); another two look likely (Templeton, Bruce); whilst 4 more are possibles (Acres, Weller, Longer, Savage). A lot to look forward to. Our potential team/squ...

Re: Hickey or McEvoy
Long term Mac is B-/C+ and seems to have plateaued, whilst Hickey is still improving and has the potential to B+. Whilst they each have differing strengths and weaknesses, overall there really isn't likely to be much difference in their level. For mine though, whilst we picked Mac too early in his d...

Re: Observations
Loved the effort again. Webster burnt Jetta off which was great to see. The young guys are intense when they don't have the ball and that's what I loved most. Also out-wrestled Watson (though he probably interfered illegally with the marking contest!) and played in Rooey for his last goal. Webster ...

Re: Rhys' best game for the club
Great to see him playing that link Tall, through his leading and marking. Also, with his pace and athleticism he can be part of counter-attack footy, with the 50-60m passes from Gwilt, Webster etc. over the top of the zone.
