Re: Might Chris Scott retire?

Cat's looked spent last night, their veterans were too slow and their young guys lack talent. I'd say they're already cooked.

Re: Milne or Betts?

The celebration of Eddie Betts on the occasion of his recent retirment -- "The most beloved player ever" oozed one pundit -- stands in stark contrast to the way in which the Tiprat was shuffled into early retirement. Indeed, Milne was one of the most pilloried players ever, including (unf...

Re: Dunstan

A proven ability to get the hard ball and nullify a talented opponent are traits that many clubs value highly.

Very disappointing to see him go, I wish him luck and expect him to do very well at another club.

Jack Steele 3rd in last years Brownlow, high up in this years coaches votes, a good chance for top 3 in this years Brownlow; yeah I reckon he deserves to start in the middle.

Reckon Pendelbury is the best Collingwood player in my lifetime, though I thought Phil Carman was outstanding.

It was also pleasing to see McKenzie, Webster, Wilke and even Coffield and Dunstan finding good form.

I'd like to see Battle & Hunter Clark improve next year, and Jack Billings find his best form (if he stays)

Re: Dunstan dropped

Dunstan has been treated poorly by St Kilda, as was Luke Ball. Tough in & under but lacking pace to 'spread'. This type of player is highly valued by many clubs like Geelong with Joel Selwood, but not by St Kilda. I kind of hope he gets to a decent club, wins a flag and gives St Kilda the middle...

Re: So.....what if Billings, Ross, and Dunstan leave?

All three are probably in our best 20 or at least best 25 players.

We've got about 7-8 on our list who can't get on the park, and even if they could wouldn't be in our best team, I'd suggest we delist them and keep our capable and healthy players.

Re: Back 7 and depth in 2022

No doubt plenty of depth but a lot of similar types, and probably missing a big strong type. Battle could be that guy, and I do like him, but he could also play at CHF. Sadly I get the impression that Rattan's not a fan. Hope we don't let him go.

I can only vaguely remember Baldock being 19th man at the final match in 1966 (cause I was a kid), can anybody remind me the nature of his injury?

Re: list Review time

delist the really obvious, Alabakis, McKernan , Frawley, Hunter, Geary, Roberton, Carslile, Wood & Hannabury

Chances are we'll lose another 2 or 3 who may be traded and another 2 or 3 who are out of contract but don't warrant an extension.

Actually I reckon he's one of the best umpires, but it's probably best he doesn't umpire our games as I get the impression he makes that extra effort not to favor St Kilda.

I'm not keen on getting rid of good players, and especially healthy blokes. We need to delist those blokes who just can't get on the park; Geary, Roberton, Carslile, Mckernan, Frawley, Hannabury.....who have I missed....

That's 6 off our list.

Yeah, I'm feeling a bit grubby, but it's a kinda novelty to barrack for a team who gets the 'rub of the green' from the umpires.
