Re: McKenzie on finding self belief.
McKenzie has always been an endurance beast, and he's hard at the contest. Perhaps not the silky skills of Billings or Hill but a lot tougher.

Is Highmore eligible for a Rising Star nomination or aren't mature age rookies eligible?
He did get 7 Coaches Votes!

Bontempelli & Petraca possibly the two dominant midfielders in the comp at the moment, and we overlooked them both.....

Re: I just realised.
If that crow lice forward hadn't kicked the football out of his arse over his head, we would now be in 8th place We've blown 2 or 3 games this season, hard to believe those wins would have us almost entrenched in the top 8. But those horrendous drubbings made me feel like we had dropped to a bottom...

Re: Tony Lockett what a legend
Perhaps I'm biased but I've always considered Locket to be the best of all time, well best since I've watched since the 1960's
Leigh Matthews, Wayne Carey and Gary Ablett are in most conversations, I reckon Matthews was the pick of this lot, but well behind Plugger in my opinion.

Re: Richmond's sixth lowest score ever
From memory we belted Richmond in the middle of 2017 and the went on to win 3 of the next 4 premierships.
After Friday night's result I reckon we may have 'book-ended' their dynasty.

Re: Luke Dunstan
Luke Ball was considered too slow, not enough spread by Ross Lyon who preferred Clint Jones & Robert Eddy. Luke ball went to Collingwood and won a flag. Luke Dunstan, like Luke Ball is tough in and under, skills which are highly valued by good teams, they are footballers not athletes. Dunstan co...

Re: Luke Dunstan
Lets call it the way it is. Luke Dunstan got Brownlow votes in his game against North last year, then got injured are couldn't get back in the team. I was angry he didn't get selected in the run to the finals last year. He's been on the outer most of this year, and only got a game because we were de...

Re: Dunstan, Long and Dmac
We acknowledge that Dunstan, Long & Dmac added much needed grunt.
Missing from the side were Hunter Clark, Billings & Lonie, to be fair quite skilled players.
It's a bit of a conundrum, I like Dunstan, Dmac, Billings & Clark, and would love to play then all.

Suggest Brad Hill should be gelded.
And yes, we need to go to the yearling sales and avoid the 'tried horses' online sale.

The incident changed the momentum of the game
Hunter was clearly hit head high but no free kick
Ben Long & Stephen Baker would have been crucified for such an act

Re: How to fix the Saints!
Excellent post Skeptic. A great starting point is the 10 Must go. It's almost impossible to disagree. Also agree that we must not recruit rejects from other clubs for depth. We should replace those 10 with kids, with proper development and coaching 3-4 may turn into keepers. Also agree that we shoul...

Reckon our list management is the #1 problem.
Hannabury, Hill, McCartin,..++...
We've got way too many rejects from other clubs and not enough kids with potential.

To be fair, the umpires were virtually invisible, as should be.
The void of skills was by players on both teams, and certainly not the umpires.

I see our high ranking game has been awarded the top umpires for this big clash. Deboy / Meredith & Glouftsis. LOL - they have to umpire somewhere! In the bush, maybe? Have some respect, I'm pretty sure Eleni was awarded an MBE or OBE for outstanding service to umpiring St Kilda games

Re: The boys club book
I know someone who worked at Newscorp in 2010. After the second GF, mark Robinson was going to run a story about a number of Collinwood players (at least 6) who had tested positive for high levels of growth hormone immediately after the GF, levels that could only be achieved through artificial mean...

Re: Has Dan's recruitment cost the Saints their premiership window
Cost us being able to get Treloar although Robbo not retiring at the end of ‘20 is probably a bigger target to point at Only difference being Roberton gave us quite a few good games and was spoken of as leader material! Hannebery on the other hand second only to Lovett as trading cock-up of the cen...
