Re: Who is our "enforcer?'
From my arm chair I can tell you that AFL football is still a tough and physical game They may not be behind the play king hits ( thankfully) but there is still a lot of physicality about it - I’m glad I’m not out there on the field Watch Windhager going about his business on Friday - he wasn’t just...

Re: Set Shot Routine solved - for $4
I also mentioned Bens hook shot miss from 35m out nearly dead in front when discussing our (lack of ) trained set shot routine on some other thread -
I was yelling at him ( on the Telly) as if he was still a saints player missing - that’s how frustrated I am with the way we go about it

Re: Set Shot Routine solved - for $4
Does it come with instructions?
1. Don’t spin the ball while you’re walking in because you might mix up the arrow and the kick zone
2..
Probably only needs a few basic rules
I wonder if the league will let us swap balls for our set shots ?

Re: If the shoe had been on the other foot
Absolutely no need for the AFL to comment on that free or any other free after any weekend They either need to STFU - ie make no comment OR Run out to the public a 20-50 page document each week outlining all the umpiring mistakes and inconsistencies over the weekend - because there are always heaps ...

Re: Two Prong Attacks?
This year it could be Logan the bogan McDonald and the other tall Amarti As long as it's not H McLean. They stole him from under our noses No - we just didn’t take him - could’ve had him for free pre season if i remember correctly- he was kicking arse for Sandy - but we didn’t take him During about...

Re: Poor Scoring
They need a goal kicking coach
They need to learn how to kick a drop punt for a set shot on goal
The good teams do this well

Re: Just get it going forward
The short chipping round the backline put great pressure on us and totally took the pressure off them and resulted in some ridiculous turn over goals

 My recollection was that McCartin was well in the frame as the Number 1 Draft Pick And Petracca was marked down because his body size was a contributor to his performance as a mid versus that age group Plus some personality issues with Petracca My recall was that Bomtapelli was also marked do...

Re: Kicking at goal
The rot set in after we hired that corkhead, Ben Dixon. We went from bad to worse under his "tutelage". Don't forget his best "technique" was to get the players to imagine the best sex they'd ever had, as they were lining up, and visualize their partner in that union standing be...

Re: Brayshaw - leave thread here as it affects the future of footy in general
It baffles me that anyone could think that this was a deliberate act. Of course training would be different, just like he probably wouldn’t tackle as hard at training his own teammates as he would the opposition in a preliminary final. MB. If you watched this collision in slow motion numerous times...

Re: Jack Bytel training with Collingwood
His main problem seemed to be he couldn’t take his opportunities when he had them to play in the senior side - couldn’t find the ball If I remember correctly he had a shocker last time he played for us at senior level Definitely seemed to have potential but couldn’t show it when it mattered As someo...

Pretty sure he was fit to play - if he was badly missed that was the point I was making when I said - that says something I think

Re: Sharman will become the GOAT in 2024....
As someone has already said Sharman is a smart player and has the skill to deliver the ball where he wants it on a fairly consistent basis
As a result he is involved in some great team plays and is as reliable as anyone else in the team shooting for goal
I think he is definitely best 23

Re: The recent shift in age demographic
At a bare minimum you would expect this will be good for Sandringham - the last few years we have carried so many injured middle tier, middle age players that it's been a joke - Sandy were needing to rely on players bringing their friends down to fill the gaps to field a team - hopefully next year we...

Re: Congrats to Mattaes
That sounds like a backwards step. The umpires should hopefully be concentrating on their jobs whilst out there - not player gazing At the end of the match they will remember the big name players rather than the unkowns who played well - P Cripps - he tossed the coin, kicked a goal ran around a bit ...

Just to let those who care , I had Rod Owen come in to the pub that I work in today he had me make him a soy lettie which blew my mind lol .He's been booze free nearly six years (welldone) I asked him about since its 150th did he have any past player stuff this season? The answer was a sharp no! No...
