didn't we just beat them by 20 points last year at their ground, when they were less experienced?
Doesn't our form also have something to do with it?

Re: We lost the game, but won a future......
Positives:
- 3 X 6 day game breaks, missing Fisher, Macca, Stanley, Geary (our best small defender) & Schnieder, gwilt still coming back to form, and only just losing with more scoring shots against a team that is on a roll atm, to me shows a lot of positives.

Re: Jack Newnes
I thought last night was an improvement on his first couple of games, but still not up to afl standard - unclean disposal, lack of composure and awareness, lots of errors, no real impact. He may well turn out to be a ripper but personally I haven't seen anything convincing yet, unlike Saad, Milera,...

Re: Conceding 120 points at home
Fatigue and personel are the cause of that scoreline imo. And both are relatively out of our control. 3 six day breaks in sucession are going to make it harder to apply and maintain our press, and make it harder to execute skills effectively. Bring back our 2 ruckmen, and 2 of our back 6 and it wou...

Re: Tom Simpkin
Is head and shoulders better than Spud Dawson. Looks a real player. Completely different. Simpkin will always struggle against players like Cloke or West Coasts tall but he definetely adds something in the way he takes the game on rather than the purely negating style of Dawson. It would still be h...

Re: Siposs & Gwilt = top 4
OK call me insane.....But I've seen the first qtr of Sandy v Pies....that's all I need to see. :) These two in the team (along with Schnieder) and we are top 4 material. Watching gwilt pick up where he left off shows how much he could add to setting up our attacks/distributing the ball. So cool, re...

Re: So where are we at
????? Am I the only one that still thinks we are a top 4 chance? Nothing is finalised now, we have had only 4 rounds of footy, yet people here seem to have the top 8 all sorted out. A couple of points: The thing I noticed is that breaking the press and squeeze used by teams these days requires preci...

Re: Paul Roos whacks Watters
There is nothing wrong with what SW said about the club, nothing. The only reason Roos took the position he did in response was because wanted to paint RL as a good guy and shield him from any criticism, be it justified or otherwise. That's fine, but he shouldn't try to pass off his 'analysis' as so...

+1 to Bono Between 2003-2006 we were at the forefront of many of these things - overseas training camps, community camps, leadership training, wellbeing officers etc. We really were a leader in the AFL and very innovative. Good to see us getting back to that position. We were at the forefront of go...

Re: Saints unveil new academy
ST KILDA coach Scott Watters has unveiled the club's radical new football academy that will see the Saints bolster their notoriously undermanned player development team by 400 per cent and invest unprecedented resources in VFL partner Sandringham. With Dean Laidley set to join Watters in coming day...

Has taken the club to Seaford despite everybody thinking it was a bad idea while many other clubs have been able to redevelope there actual home base. I'm not sure how he has had his contract renewed Can we drop this BS & propaganda once and for ALL! FFS, how many times do people need to be tol...

in interview "I admire the way jason plays" "He will be absolutely a required player" hmm...Coach an idiot, or a few a little bit out in their assesment of Gram I never got the gram hate on here. There are many others that played far worse. Yes at times he was inconsistent, but ...

We had the 13th best pick in 2008.....and after 3 years of development that got us Pick 37....maybe after 3 years of developing pick 37 we can get Pick 59 in the 2014 draft... Also made the point about 'room for improvement' in player development. In other words, that's been a bit of a weakness for us. He said that no just young players coming through, bit everyone on list. This is one area that concnerned me, we were not developing or improving the abilities (physical/me...

Watters speaks......
Spoke very well. Key points: Game styles always evolve across afl, even within 6 months. Our aim to be always at the fore-front of that. Admires the defensive side of our game, but looking to add layers to our game approach. Beleives the club has a great core leadership group & and great young k...

Spoke well, imo. Clear to the point and handled all the 'issues' and rumours. Also stated salary cap issues were due to club's successes over recent yrs and is now going through a re-modeling to better set us up for the future. Will NOT be trading any stars, seem to imply some minor players may be t...

Does anyone have one? In amongst the Goddard to Carlton and Malthouse on Wednesday posts it's hard to keep track of the rumours that have any substance to them. Yes: Very reliable rumour that BJ, Roo, Dal, Gilbert and the other top players will be staying with the saints and have no intention of go...

I pray that Malthouse isn't coming to us, I can't stand the bloke. I also think his coaching record is incredibly inflated. I have just had a bad feeling for some time that St Kilda pushed RL out because we knew we could get MM. If this is the case I would be more than happy to see the back of the ...

Roos is right something did happen. His mate lost over a 7 figure sum in the GFC and needed more cash fast. He also needed to find a club stupid enough to give him 1.5 m up front. Hello Freo.
