Re: Mad monday
I thought i heard/read somewhere that our players/ club werent doing a mad monday as there are still finals going on for sandi and a fair few of our listed players are in training still. Not sure where i read or heard it though. I also think i heard the Wednesday thing that SainterK wrote about :D ...

Why? Do I normally do that? I don't think I have. The corrupt thing is hilarious though. Surely you are only corrupt if it changes the result.

Re: Last kickoff over the goal line?50
Worse was the missed 50 to Weller with about 40 seconds to go. Would have put him 10 metres out in front for a goal and an almost certain win. Umpires did everything in their power to rob us last night. Cats 5 frees inside fifty, those deliberate idiot frees, the missed 50, the missed cheating kick...

Re: MCG vs Etihad as a home base.
Getting off the train from Bendigo, over the bridge and up to level 2 to the warmth and comfort of our seats under a closed roof. People hold doors open for us as we enter the rooms to buy food at now reasonable prices, this has to be better than watching the 'hockey at the Garden'. The G yesterday ...

Re: Disgraceful umpiring - club needs to act
Were people questioning the possibility that Essendon's improved perfomance may have been due to the majority of players having 100 injections of performance enhancements before the AFL forced them to bring it to light? Do we now look at a handful of teams and wonder at the physical size/bulk of a d...

No kick to kick a kick in the guts
Sat through the game with the kids on the promise of getting to go on the ground after the game keeping them going. Then at three quarter time a message goes up on the big screen "there will be no kick to kick after the game". Really took the wind out of my little man's sails who had been ...

Re: Umpires must be reviewed.
A while back it was explained in the media that the Dogs were having a lot of frees paid against them because they were playing risky, attacking and desperate football. Perhaps we are in the same boat? Unfortunately when you see the game you know this is not really the case. As for the AFL receiving...

Two weeks in a row, teams with bigger bodies. I don't want to see our young players brought in to be belted about so early in their playing careers, what is to be gained? We have a month after this match before Essendon and another good break before Geelong to allow our younger, lightly framed play...

Re: Enough is enough
For those of us who were there it was quite apparent the umpiring was not consistent. A good percentage of the frees we received were from out on the full. Armo probably wound them up further when he turned and held the ball up to the umpire to see if his mark would be paid. I would suggest that man...

The player was wrong to say that to the umpire about Eddie. It would be far more likely to be a betting company making the payments.

On the plus side, it was great to see a free given to Riewoldt after Ablett just blatantly pushed him into the marking contest. I loved seeing the little weed yelling at the umpire. I cant lip read well, but it looked like he was saying "I am Gary Ablett, I can push whoever I like, there is no...

I'm surprised that people think of BJ in the same way they think of Luke Ball. Ball left when we were challenging and played against us the next year in a grand final. He had an offer. Was considered a required player and walked. I believe that Ball had accepted the offer much earlier in the year a...

Perhaps he is on a contract that would be paid for 2015 whether he plays or doesn't play so it is seen a solution to avoid wasting money? He has been particularly disappointing in high pressure games and the point above by 6621104 rings so true. "Since when is pointing to others to do your job,...

Re: Is Pelchen sticking around?
Now we have the young players (with a few more to come in the draft) it seems like they want someone able to take responsibility for srategically developing their performance which it sounds like wasn't Pelchin's forte. He could bring them in but wasn't the person for the next stage. There is probab...
