5 best kicks on goal.... currently playing for Saints Adam Schneider (the most obvious now that Milney and Kosi are retired) Tommy Lee (I think he's laid the foundations with his routine) Nick Reiwoldt ( the skill with shots on his non preferred taken into account...as well as the volume of career ...

Re: For he's (not) a Jolly good fellow?
Anyone who speaks like this about their past employment is bound to sooner or later be doing it about their new job. I am so glad we didn't take him as the negatives would certainly outweigh the positives.Dr Spaceman wrote:@theagesport: Darren Jolly blasts Nathan Buckley as a 'coward' http://t.co/Zf6MV7X92r

Re: I'm speechless
A selection panel should be able to keep secret the process they are working through. When they make the decision no doubt they need to have it ratified by the board before making it public. This latter part needs to happen quickly, ideally on the one day as there is a leaker who it would appear com...

Sick of the doom and gloom, trying for a positive thread. Pick 6 in '14, pick 9 in '15, then in the teens for the next ten years

Re: 2017 Grand Final
'So the next 3 years of drafting means nothing? If your not in the 2014 team you don't get a chance???' Well going on the 4 years leading up to the '97 and '09 GF's then it would seem the odds are between 25% and 50% chance of still being there should we make the 2017 GF. The planning must be lookin...

Re: 2017 Grand Final
Id be surprised if more than half those players were in our best team in 2017[/quote] I'd agree. Checking the '93 list there were only 10 left on the list in 1997 and, on the 2005 list there were only 16 still there in 2009. Either we aim to play in the GF before 2017 (as the Club has suggested), or...

Re: Members not Mushrooms
Have a friend with a close contact in the Grattan Institute who knew, and told me, exactly how disfunctional Rudd and his inner team were months before his overthrow. The lack of public explanation was respectful but damaging in the media. Our Saints need to be careful how this plays out as times ha...

Re: 2017 Grand Final
It's interesting. In 2017 our 2013 draftees will be 22. And our 2015 draftees will be 20. The same age as Steele Sidebottom and Dayne Beams when they tore some of our mid 20's midfielders a new one in a Grand Final. You can wager by the time 2017 comes around at least another 8-10 changes will have...

2017 Grand Final
Looking to our positive future, who from our current listed players will be named when we contest the 2017 Grand Final?
There will obviously be retirements before then but otherwise, how do you see our list's future development? i.e. Newnes - Captain?

Re: Reports saints will sign Jolly
NO to Jolly. By all reports Jolly is a prick of a bloke. His comments in the media at the start of this season were very ill considered and drove a wedge between his teammates. Don't want his type at StKilda thanks. Better to develop Hickey and Longer. Rhys can pinch hit if required. Even Lewis Pea...

Pretty impressive close-up of Crowley pinching Mitchell's cheek. S'pose that doesn't hurt, try doing it to yourself.

Re: Have you driven a Ford lately?
I would not wish it on our boys to have to play in Cairns conditions. The Wellington situation is far better and is supposed to be two games next year. Although I won't be going over twice a year, the few days around ANZAC day could easily become an annual ritual if it continues as this year. As for...

A nonsense thread. Roo deserves to continue as Captain (as long as he can continue playing). He is expected to be our only all Australian this year and it would be a disgrace for the club to remove him.
