I thought your innocent till proven guilty, not the other way around? An allegation is just that--an allegation. At the moment, Lovett is in neutral territory.

Have you read the realfooty article? It states that Lovett is holding steadfast to his innocence. What do you make of it?

I have a feeling the interview will be for print media; he would have said listen to SEN etc. If so, i'd imagine that the Herald Sun will carry the story tomorrow.

I saw on the Robbo's blog that he will be interviewing Rossy Lyon today. The Lovett question will be the main topic of discussion. He reckons the interview could reveal more info about Lovett's playing future--but in my opinion, Rossy is preety cagey.

Just wanted to keep people posted.

Sounds like his days are numbered. Will go down as one of the worst trades in AFL history. We should have just traded 16 for Everitt from the Dogs.

I reckon these changes would have made a big difference in the GF:

Armitage->McQualter, McEvoy->King, Gwilt-> Dempster.

I think if we can get Armitage, Geary and McEvoy in, they alone will make a massive difference; as we had some deadwood in the GF.

I just hope Peake can step up if Lovett is gone; otherwise, my hubris will certainly dampen going into this year's season.

Don't forget the Bulldogs would have given up Everitt for pick 16. So in my opinion, we missed out on Everitt if Lovett is sacked.

If no charges have been laid, how can we justify sacking him? Wouldn't we be sued by him for terminating his contract without a proper reason? Even with all the innuendo at the moment, the guy is still technically innocent until proven guilty.

I think it's abit too early to be overly melodramatic. People tend to forget the Milney and Joey episode. I think we will have a better idea in the next fortnight, so I would recommend that everyone gives it a break until we hear more information.

The big concern is the word "months". If this is the case, he is basically written off for 2010 even if they decide to not press charges. It would mean that he wouldn't have a pre-season.
