Re: Dougal Howard

One thing's for sure.

We hired RTB to put an end to weak efforts, lack of intensity and commitment.

Over to you, Ross.

Re: RTB's Presser

As mentioned in the telecast, it was close to RTB's biggest loss as coach of the Saints. Not sure if it was all for show but we don't need yet another cuddly coach (unless all coaches these days are terrified of losing the players). Personally I would have liked a spray to have been delivered going ...

Re: Port Adelaide game at home was our reality check

A predicatble combination of fitness levels evening out across the competiton and the defensive game-plan (a novelty this year) being worked out. We coud all see it coming but it's dispiriting to discover that RTB and the legends in the box had no answer for it. Membrey and Steele are clearly hamper...

Bit of the 2009 GF about tonight

Tough, high-tackling, man-on-man contest in which we just fell short.

Bit of the rub of the green, bit of RTB's role-players not prooducing the goods under intense pressure.

Goal-sneaks quiet, too.

Cheer up. Reckon we're doing OK except for forward 50 dysfunction.

Kick to Wiklie definitely 15m but play on, goal to Port.

Higgins decapitated in front of goal, play on.

I'm no expert on mendiing collarbones but strkes me as bizarre that he's back so early.

Hope they're not being rash as McKay is sure to run through him (with immunity, of course).

Re: Whispers of Bing to Pies

Seems to me that some on here are overthinking this or just being contrarian. (i) Two Kings in one side is a massive headache for opposition teams. (ii) Both Kings are likely to accept less to play at one side and fulfil the dream. (iii) There's no reason they both have to play permanently in the fo...

Re: Whispers of Bing to Pies

Max and Ben in the forward line, rotating through defence as a kickout target, absorbing all the opposition's defenders ... crazy not to take it.

Would be huge, good for St Kilda and good for the game.

Ben out of form right now which should make him more gettable.

Re: Why the Saints lost on Sunday (perhaps)

Thought it was ou weakest performance for the year, so amazed we lost by only a goal. Collingwood's playing stocks were also depeleted though. Wondered when the kids would run out of steam. And reckon this would be a good time for a injection of talent. Steele back -- great. Possibly Membrey? King c...

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?

Bikers wear helmets, NFL players wear helmets . both to protect their heads. Why doesn't the AFL make helmets compulsory for everyone. It may not stop concussions but it may reduce the effects with a bit of cushioning. Yes, Murphy should have been 1 0r 2 weeks for starting the incident off the ball...

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?

What galls me is the preciousness and self-righteousness of Collingwood, followed by the media, followed by the tribunal. It was a murky incident involving argey-bargey and no clear vision. A player left the fiedl unassisted and mouthing off. But in the perception of Collingoowd, the media and the t...

Everyone is a nerd.

Unless you're saving earthquake victims or inventing a cure for cancer, you're a nerd.

Contiributing to footy forums automatically makes you a nerd.

Hell, following a footy team makes you a nerd.

Quite some projection going on above.

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?

Good grief. Media now talking "at least four weeks" and "the footage isn't flattering". Why, exactly? The footage doesn't show the area of contact. For all we know Murphy dropped like a sack of spuds to draw a free kick. And it was the oddest "concussion" in AFL history...
