Though if Swans beat Melb, then they draw level on points. If GWS have a good win against them, Swans could possibly slide above them just as GWS can slide above us.

Re: Who do we rest?
Resting players for two weeks straight is more likely a disadvantage than an advantage.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sun 20 Aug 2023 9:19pm
Better off resting a couple of prime movers vs Brions and try and actually win the final.

Re: Who do we rest?
Rested: Hill, Phillipou, Sharman, Marshall, Ross In: Billings, Caminiti, Hayes, Campbell , Clark And if GWS win and go above us on % , how are you going to feel say playing them on their home ground rather than at the MCG just because we rested some players so that the Lions could have a greater wi...

Re: Ross out, clark in who subs
To me I would see this as a logical move and sub being one of Billings or if they want to potentially use him in finals Coffield. Clark for Ross Hayes for Poo (Who has been on the quiet side of late). Poo, or Billings, as the Sub. WHY? Hayes may help to give us edge come finals. By playing him agai...

KEELER
He could well be that exciting wildcard we need to help take our list to the next level. Or he could be our next "White". Or just a good handy player.
Too early to know one one way or the other.

Re: Our list is better than we think it is
For the whole season people have posted that our list is no good, Lyon is going to do a massive cleanout, we have so many mediocre players, yada yada yada. MIDFIELD I think rather that what most reasonable posters have said is that to be a genuine ongoing Flag threat that we lack out and out star m...

Re: Changes this week
Membrey wasn't available against Sicily and last week was his first week back I'd be inclined to play Tim on Tom Having said that, maybe Coops can surprise me and maybe he's ready to take another scalp I am not sure that Membrey has played as a defensive forward? Plus Stewart is 2 cm taller than Me...

Sharman is the obvious tall out. So Sharman went how against Sicily? So Sharman went how against Vlastuin? Just as well Geelong do not have Tom Stewart playing.... Sicily had really good numbers and was the 3rd highest ranked player for the Hawks. Sicily was reduced largely to getting cheap out the...

Re: Jordan Lewis about coaches
Do you need a good leader/coach - yes But does a good leader/coach guarantee success - no And has anyone ever said a good coach alone would guarantee success? = no Successful teams do most things right. Coaching is just one of multiple factors that need to be gotten right. But without a good coach ...

Re: Ross Lyon’s year of experimentation
I think while our injuries have provided opportunity to get games into the kids, that RTB has actually erred on putting even more games into them than injuries alone required. This will help us going forward. Caminiti for example now knows that he neds to build his body up if he wants to play key fo...

Re: Reality
If you look at the list changes for this season we went for more youth. Ignoring everything else you would expect to slip. But to be better for it in a season or three. IN Anthony Caminiti (pre-season supplemental selection period), Zaine Cordy (free agent, Western Bulldogs), Olli Hotton (No.35 draf...

If you think Ross is happy with that performance you don’t know him. He doesn’t rave and rant but he’s not cuddly. He is honest and to the point. He takes no prisoners and knows what he wants. And if you don’t deliver you know. Trust me RTB needs to back it up with action during this trade period. ...

If you have Kayo already, you can use a VPN but I found this very hit and miss. I think it now detects the VPN, and will not play till it is turned off, and then the geo locator blocks. I my recent trip though USA/Canada I watched my daughter's Foxtel account through a VPN and it work every time. H...

Interesting that he is selected in the side this week against Carlton with all the following medium to tall forwards (who have played that position this year) available- Caminiti, Phillipou, Cordy, Owens,( all selected) and arguably King, Membrey, Holmes( returning from injury) Holmes??? Is that yo...

Re: Mass exodus
I don't see a mass exodus coming. It really depends on whether the club is successful in trading in players and in gaining any free agents. If the club is active in that which is wat Stavro on Bigfooty is suggesting the club is trying to do, and probably where the "hearing" in the OP came...
