Re: “Should Win” this Weekend
Players had a warts and all meeting before training this morning. No coaches, no staff. Will be interesting how they respond on Sunday So? They had a bloody meeting last yr after the bye after 99% of the players refused to perform against the Bombers. It's a permanent St Kilda feature. Play well ea...

Re: What do we need to improve in 2024?
All of that is 100% true. Except the last sentence. Not that he won’t be truthful, he just hasn’t the time. And the one thing to all the knockers. Get down to training. The speed we move the ball forward is completely opposite to game day. It’s quite unbelievable really.

Re: Ross Lyon is #2
The bottom line, and it irks me to say it, but we are just not that good. We are a very average football team. But I do believe the coaches including the development coaches are on the right track RTB had the whole pre-season to get their skills sorted. I think you said he stepped away and let Lenn...

Re: Ross Lyon is #2
Of course we wanted to win. Of course we tried to win. But we also have to look to the future as this team won’t win a flag. Gold Coast today were the complete opposite. Not looking to the future, just looking at today. And they won’t win a flag with that team. If a coach could win a flag in their f...

Re: Ross Lyon is #2
None of the board or coaching panel realistically thought we were going to win a flag this year. And to be honest probably thought the eight was a distant chance. Doesn’t mean they’re not trying to, just means they’re realistic. Why do you think they’ve played Sharman, back, on the wing, up front. W...

Re: To any administrators who still may be frequenting this forum.
Mate we’re 5th on the ladder in a discovery year. Relax. Never a truer word. It’s a discovery year for the coaches. Next years team will have a lot of different faces. We are not a top four team- we’re not that good. But I have faith this current group of coaches/administrators are looking at the b...

Re: West Coast with new coach next week??
We did lose a very popular fitness coach He was replaced, wasn't he? Are you saying that his replacement is not up to the job? What does that mean Tony? Surely we aren’t sliding cause a liked fitness guy left ? So much of football is above the shoulders, when a club changes coaches mid stream they o...

Re: Where we are at
The coaching group are very very good in my opinion. The team is not as good. We are a 6-10 placed team. Let’s be realistic. Most of you would have put us in that category before the season started. We are going ok- not great, not poorly. It’s a work in progress. As Sainters we have learnt to be pat...

Re: What do these inclusions mean?
I don’t know what it means… but what I want to know is what more does Windhager have to do to get a bloody game in the starting 22? I know Ross likes his structures, but he’s the answer to more run in the midfield. He can tag, he can kick a goal, he makes good decisions and his disposals and inside...

A few of the boys you’ve been talking about were a bit sore and doing very little at training today. On the plus side Dmac, Hotton and Jones were with the main group.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Roos Round 8 2023
We’re 6-2. Put the 4pts in the back pocket.. let’s be realistic, we’re not winning the flag this year. RTB is figuring out who will take us to the promised land . Have faith Saintsationalists- I do.

Re: Poor Jack Hayes 😢
Do we have a problem? If you had been to any pre season sessions you could see how brutal they were. To get to the top you have to go to the extreme levels. The players all bought in. I mean if you had gone to Moorabbin on Boxing Day you would have seen senior players doing continuous 400m sprints- ...

Re: Poor Jack Hayes 😢
Something is terribly wrong. Too many re-occurring soft term injuries. May be a case of "good riddance" to Walsh Lots of moving parts here Saynta. We actually have someone else in charge of rehab. Who is responsible to someone else. I’m not giving names but it’s never one person’s fault.

Re: Nick Walsh Quits
Might also be a case of location… I met one of these guys a while back, not sure if it was Walsh but he worked at Moorabbin but was based somewhere in the Western suburbs. I remembered thinking at the time that he would move sooner rather than later. Tony Brown lives in Barwon Heads. Commutes witho...
