My expectations, in all honesty, are this:
I expect us to win 1 flag by the end of this decade.
I expect us to win 3 flags by 2030.
By 2050, I expect our premiership tally to stand at around 10.
First step: Get behind Richo and develop a team whose window will officially be 'open' around 2017-2020

We know where we're going
Hi all, Yesterday I read something that really inspired me with confidence in regards to the future of this football club, so I thought I'd share it here with you all, interspersed with my comments, and get to know if the fine people of saintsational share/believe/hope in this vision of where the cl...

Re: Congrats to the club on making the right appointment
Try to forget about win/loss this season. It shouldn't be about that. And if it is about that for you, I think you'll be disappointed. Your presumption is fallacious. It's not about wins and losses for me in that I want enough wins to finish top 4 or anything like that, but there is one good thing ...

Congrats to the club on making the right appointment
I know it's all too easy to go all gaga over a new coach, but I was mighty impressed with Richo's message, and I find myself being alot more optimistic about next year....When the fixture was first released, I struggled to find 5 wins there for us. But now, for some reason, I'm seeing around 7-10 wi...

Re: Where were you when Josh Bruce was born?
I was at the tender age of 10 on the top level on the wing of the old stand that used to be next to the members on one side and the southern stand on the other... Actually, was the southern stand built by 1992? Absolute all-time classic game that one, I clearly remember before the game being so nerv...

Re: Collingwood cheated to win 2010 flag
I wonder if Scott Watters knows anything about it? Well you would think he would so he is a cheat also. I feel better knowing they cheated to beat us. He could've been just a pawn - what was he, backline coach? Doubt he knew much about it... but would be very interesting indeed to know exactly what...

Collingwood cheated to win 2010 flag
I have zero evidence to support my claim, and no doubt all and sundry will consider me a crackpot with a chip on my shoulder, but I ask you this: if I had posted on here exactly one year ago after brendon goddard went to essendon that next season essendon will be stripped of all premiership points a...

Re: Best First Year Player Award
Tom Lee Tom Hickey TDL Dylan Roberton Tom Curren Nate Wright Josh Saunders There's some promise in that crop... Early in the year it was Roberton who sprang out of the blocks and I'd go so far as to say was the general of our backline after fish got surgery... until, that is, he copped that concussi...

Get rid of Webster. Has cost us 2 goals and everything he touches turns to s***. You serious ? Pick on a kid. Meanwhile Milne tdl awful. Dempster and gwilt are so slow its embarrassing . Both think they have more time than they do. True Milne has been worse. On the positive: Lenny, Roberton..... no...

Re: Game thread v Port
I know we are in development mode, but 100% effort is a non-negotiable, and the effort certainly wasnt there in the first 5 minutes, and even now they look lethargic.
I'm thoroughly pissed off about this.

Pick 3 in next years draft: locked in
Because, looking at our draw, we are locked into a 16th place finish in 2013. Unless there are priority picks given to GWS. Are there?

Re: Best GOPs of last 20years
To me, a GOP is someone that a lot of supporters think is s*** but other supporters think he fills a role so he's a GOP. Take Jayson Daniels. To me he was just s*** but to others he was a GOP. Or Clint Jones. I think he's a GOP but others think he's just s***.... BTW Heatley was the most accurate se...

Re: can someone tell me why...
This argument has happened a million times at every single club and i hereby give you THE TRUTH It's not that the umpires deliberately pick on any one team, it's that they're part-time amateurs who work a day job during the week and umpire on weekends. This, in fact, is the reason milne was punished...

The future
Listing current players on the list born no earlier than 1989, therefore making them young enough to possibly be a part of the next team harboring premiership aspirations, ie. "St.kilda v. SWatters" (with personal opinion of players potential included - "tick," "cross,"...

Re: Team v Kangas
Why do some posters think that by just playing the kids this year, this will be the worst year out of the rebuild? I have fears for the next 3 years. Just because we get games into these kids doesn't mean next year is going to be any better. I agree Clarky. But if we are bottom 4 for 2013-15 as I e...

Re: Ross tonight
I just did my votes before I read this post, and I have Ross in there with one vote. That was the best game he's played for us IMO. Could be a future a-grade inside mid, the type of player you don't notice much but and the end of the game you see he's had 30 touches. Players he reminds me of: Nathan...

Re: Back into the AFL wilderness
My attitude is basically: "sit back, relax, and enjoy the next five years," because if everything goes to plan (which is far from gauranteed), it is then that our next premiership window will be opening. Until then, it's not all about wins and losses, its about developing a crop of kids an...
