Re: Player raid warchest for 2016
If I was in charge I'd be looking to get Sloane Treloar and Shiel to the club and if we finish last which most think we will I can't see it not being possible.. Sloane walks as a FA trade for Treloar, Shiel walks straight thorough pre season draft.. Boom finals 2016 I think people need to forget th...

Saw a different angle just now, it showed it wasn't deliberate free kick nothing else.. Let's move on.

Re: Mike Sheehan rates Dunstall better than Lockett!
Plugger was the greatest. Why Carey??? Overated. Jackovich smashed him. No one EVER smashed lockett or Abletts. I do remember Pert and Lynch doing pretty well on Lockett on a few occasons back then, and Frawley used to shut down Ablett snr pretty well, but Plugger was a freakish natural talent as i...

Re: Spencer
Spoke to him in depth last week, great young guy.. It's all about forward pressure according to him, offensively has all the tools.
We even joked that if only he played 10yrs ago when pressure acts and time in forward half stats were non existent.

My AFL top 50
As the summer days go by and we're counting the days until the boys come back, I thought I'd do something I've always wanted to do. I've made my AFL top 50 players, basically wanted to see how hard it would be, it wasn't that hard just pick the players you'd want in your team first. Obviously it's j...

Training 4/2/15
Today was a bit of match simulation, which was by far the most interesting session I've seen so far this year, mainly because it gave me a better indication of how the Coaches see there team lining up. For instance Bruce will be perhaps looking to be playing the relief ruckmen role as that's the rol...

Re: Starting to Feel Excited About the 2015 Season Ahead
I reckon Wallis, Bontempelli, Boyd, Dalhaus, Macrae, Hrovat, Liba, Hunter, Stevens bats a fair bit deeper than our midfield. I agree with this. They're definitely threadbare at the top. They only have five 100-gamers, similar number to GWS and GC, comfortably less than everyone else. We've got 9 an...

Training Today
Went by and had a look today and thought I'd give you some observations. Markworth: He Trained and he moves really well, got great size and will make the grade I believe if he stays healthy. McKenzie: Looks the goods, again good size about him moves well and has great closing speed. Riewoldt: Doing ...

Re: Open training reports jan 2014
Eli, Billings, and Armo were the stand outs. Billings especially has a very steely resolve about him that only the great ones have.
Special mention to Ross, play just pauses and he keeps moving when he has the ball its just a gift some players have, I think its a Basketball thing.

Re: Acres
Watching him train today I get the feeling the game comes extremely easy to him, and his issue will be his work ethic and competitiveness.
Big fan could be a Star or could be a solid player, I think he's in a great position because it's entirely up to him what he becomes.

Re: Jack Steven contract
Yeah for Lenny, and it was easier then you think back then if someone wanted to leave they generally get the deal done history is full of those stories. Nothing has changed in that respect, player wants out 9 times out of 10 club gets it done. How can it be easier than just basically walking out. Y...

Re: Jack Steven contract
I can see this guy leaving I keep saying it, he can't leave as he's a free agent but a restricted one I believe. We have total control as we can match any contract offer he gets. He might get paid a lot of money but the only way he goes is if we can't afford him. Considering we are paying future am...

Strange call considering he was sacked in May for some salary cap breaches..
Sure the club has done it's due diligence.. Chris Pelchen must be extremely unlikable because although good at his job got essentially replaced by a cricketer..

The annual Armo ready to take the next step article.. Earlier this yr, usually comes out in Feb..
In all fairness though thought he took a huge step last yr and would've finished top 3 hadn't it been for his injury.. Most Likley our next captain!

Re: Crystal ball squad circa 2018
This Thread is completely unfair saying we need to have at least 12 changes is extremely dramatic as its 4 yrs away. Also considering the club has boasted what are great job in recruiting they've done the last 3 yrs. I for 1 am very optimistic and confident that 90% of the players we have currently ...

Re: Picks 21 and 22 options
I reckon Lennys highlights wouldn't have been as good as LJ Conners. And im sure if they had a draft camp back then he would have tested very poorly in a few areas. I will take notice of the people who see more than one highlights package. Except that Lenny went pick 11 and Elijay 70. So Lenny's hi...
