I reckon the only way Port would go for a trade would be for picks and/or young players not someone like Kosi. If Trengrove asked for a trade then they may go for Stanley plus our first pick for Trengrove. Stanley is a Sth Aussie right? May be win win. You're probably closer to the mark, although P...

Re: Jackson Trengrove
power forward /quote] Well you got half of it right, he is from the Power  but as has been mentioned he is a defender/ruck, kinda like Blake but with better footy skills.. Wouldnt help out our forward issues as he has only kicked 5 goals in his career but would be worth a crack at as that swi...

If we trade or target a current player, they must have serious upside, and age on thier side, currently playing AFL level... No more of these stagnating hacks.... Never a trade fan when it comes to KP players, but if we were to offload Kosi for anyone, Butcher and a pick would be it. Gives Port a r...

Jackson Trengrove
Is keen to come back to Melbourne and we could do with a power forward such as him.
Richmond lead the race but who knows? We may be lucky.

Agreed that we need another forward in the team. I guess that's why Kosi came in but now he's suspended. With Rooey out of form and Kosi suspended I reckon Ross will bring in another forward. Won't be Stanley though because he's not cutting it at reserve level let alone AFL level. Walsh or Johnson w...

The boys tried their guts out, just let themselves down with skills...something we really need to work on...we played an unbeaten team, with injuries but nonetheless, a team choc full of confidence and simply a better team at the moment than us. Its not like the loss to the Crows which was far more...

The fact is that a captain shouldn't be immune from being dropped if his form is poor. The team has a vice captain and if a player - captain or not - isn't performing, then they need to be dropped. Aside from that, dropping Rooey might send a message to many other players. There are way too many pl...

Re: RL game plan has killed Riewoldt !
RL game plan has killed Riewoldt ! He has left him up forward competing against 2,3 and sometimes 4 opponents with no support for far too long. The poor bastard has just been worn down after 2 seasons of being swamped and has basically lost his mojo! RL and his defensive set ups have finally cruell...

Roo has to answer this criticism...this is a serious situation when the captain and a champion is being questioned by loyal saints fans, many of long standing..and the questions being raised are reasonable. Roo has far to many credits for any Saints fan to question him. What a short memory some hav...

Its sad to see the big fella so down on form and confidence. Who knows, maybe the hammy from last year has taken a yard out of him. Still a club legend and his leadership and the quality of the bloke should never be questioned. True champ and close to the greatest St Kilda player of all time. I know...

Players such as Gram, Raph, Gamble, Baker are all on notice and can easily go back to the magoos. Plenty of time for the young kids to get more game time. They are kids and aren't physically strong enough to play a whole or even half a season against the big boys. I can see several of them getting ...

Got to play the best possibly team. Can't play kids just for the sake of it when finals is still very much on the cards. Different story if mathematically we couldn't make the finals. Need momentum into next year as well. Can't just throw the season away and expect to bounce back immediately. It gen...

Re: So much for playing the young guys.
That backs up the point I was making with Ross trying something different with out forward structure (and it working).SainterK wrote:Not in recent weeksOld Mate wrote:Inside 50 tackles have been well down this year.

Re: So much for playing the young guys.
I've no problems with us playing our best team whether it includes young or experienced players. Structurally, though, the lack of a second key forward to help out Riewoldt, is a worry. Thought Walsh or Johnson might have been a chance. Big Mac will rest up forward when Blake is rucking. I reckon R...
