The thing that bothers me with the way everyone is portraying the club, is that it almost tries to paint the club as the villian, and poor old Ross Lyon as a god amongst men working in vain whilst the club holds him back. It actually really s***s me. If the list is a dog's breakfast, as the article...

I'm hanging for it! Adelaide are not flying these days but they beat us at AAMI and we owe them for that. We have to get our confidence back, and a few players still need to get form back before finals. Plus we need to develop our attacking game, this could help. Get down there and cheer on my behalf!

Gee Austinn, that a good long story We have some history behind us ,as saints fans and i'm glad you shared yours from afar . I have been a saints fan from a young age and only became a member 10 years back when my son was first able to kick a footy. For me it's a family thing now even tho my son pl...

I've bagged Saints in 60 Seconds and the Membership ad, but I have to say, these Lunch with Lenny skits are really good. Exactly the sort of thing the club needs to do, very well done.

That's more like it, St Kilda.

There doesn't seem to be a 'well done' emoticon.

Mind you they seem to be pretty good at working out the betting odds.

Since everyone's telling their life stories... I have been a passionate St Kilda supporter since 1996, even now from my home in France I check the internet daily for news on the club. But my journey to this point isn't as straight forward as most... I'm a legal alien from England, born in the capita...

I'm all for joining, but I feel that my membership fee is merely a donation in exchange for a seat at an entertainment complex. Surely you join a club to be part of something? I've been a consecutive member for over 20 years, and the feeling of club has slowly - but clearly - dissipated rapidly. Ev...

I reckon you are right, Australia's cost of living is a huge wobbly bubble that will burst sooner rather than later. All the more reason to start doing what we need to now to survive. Make a Saints membership seem essential by creating an addictive supporter culture. By the way Thinline, I'm not sur...

Disagree Mr Powers, I reckon it needs to come from the club. Where is The Fly? We need a Saints personality to drive the club marketing wise, give it back it's soul. A Saints home game feels very generic, no connection. Our Facebook page is ok, but could be better if slightly more edgy perhaps not ...

Forgive me for banging a very familiar drum, but this point is something I believe passionately in: If we supporters are serious about increasing membership, then it is up to us to do something about it, not just sit on our arses and wait for the club to do it all. We have to create a proud supporte...

its interesting isnt it the race thing you get too easily labeled a racist when you are not even saying a racist comment. its like the indigenous players want to be treated the same as everyone else, and too bloody right, they have a different colored skin, thats all, we all have different colored ...

Poker machines disgust me, and it shames me that the club I love relies so heavily on the addiction and misery of gambling. The fact that we are sponsored by Centrebet only compounds the revulsion and was a key reason why, after 14 years of membership, I didn't renew for 2011. My brother was addicte...

First of all, a disclaimer: I live in provincial France, and cannot go to the game. I can't even watch it on TV. As I recall, St Kilda were very impressed with Ball's reading of the game and leadership capabilities, as well as having his head screwed on right. After taking control of a club with a systemic cultural problem, who can blame them for targeting smart professional players. One thing that still disti...

Austinnn's post is right on the money. And I think we moved GT on at the right time. The job was going to kill him sooner or later, and getting the Football First lot in got us further up the scale in terms of professionalism. RL and Misson have moved us on so much that we are unrecognisable from 5...

Thanks Dragit, Bigcarl and Enrico. Yeah, I can understand outsiders laughing at GT, they'll never have a bloody clue how important he was to us. But it amazes me when our own supporters forget where we were in 2000 and where we were in 2006 and how that transition occured. Personally, I'll always be...

GT unfairly regarded as an ameteur failed coach, St Kilda laughed at as a joke club SHOCKER! People have traditionally loved to have a pop at Grant Thomas, from the days of that c**k with the beard who kept on refering to GT as 'Cornflakes' (Patrick something) right up to the present day people say...

Re: Finally ...

Ok I'll respond. How about North in the last, we weren't just running around without an opposition? How did you suggest the Saints counteract the fact that they got the ascendency? It wasn't Dal, Joey, Steven, Armo that pushed back, they were still in the middle, just North lifted and started smash...
