Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Does anyone know whether the Junction redevelopment has bi-lateral support from Labor? Labor are ahead in the polls, I wonder whether this project is contingent upon Liberal retaining Gov't?

Re: Act XIX - Jack Billings
I like the cap Jack is wearing on the press release photo's of this signing. It doesn't appear available in the Saints Locker - can anyone point me in the right direction where I could buy one?

Re: GWS to get pick 1
Why? Instead of simply trading with GWS for picks 4 & 7, and maybe something around 20. We work a trade with both GWS & WB for picks 4 & 6, and maybe something around 20.MC Gusto wrote:The point is this has just f-ed any deals with GWS

Four score and ten. It's the end of a 2nd era, with no premierships to show. When will he tee-up another club to head to - will he get another gig?

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
Heidelberg_Saint took a tour of the Ian Johnson Oval this afternoon and it's much closer to where the facilities would be than the map from The Age indicated. Very impressed.

Re: Minchington
This is a question for all the regular (and occasional) Sandy watchers and anyone else with an opinion! I thought it deserved its own thread. Where is the Minch at? What are is his strengths and weaknesses ? Will he be a Saints player next year? A really worthy post to a guy who appears quite unass...

Can anyone clarify whether the whole club would move to JO or simply a training base? I.e., where would administration and social club go??

Anyone know when the Milne case will be heard? I thought it was for August 2014, however haven't heard of any deferral.

Does Spencer's performance night mean we don't necessarily need to spend # 1 draft pick on a key forward?

Petracca named best for Eastern Ranges again today - waste of a pick??
Wears number 7 for Eastern, maybe Lenny might like to rethink who he hands no. 7 to?

Re: Number 1 pick
This year is the year to make a play for one of the Giants 3 tall forwards Patton and Cameron are both fielding long term multi-million dollar offers now. It is decision time for GWS they don't want to wait till they are all out of contract they need to lock in the guys they want to keep ASAP to lo...

Re: How good is doggies midfield!!
Memo: Chris Pelchen... Rebuild through the draft, not by swapping 1st round picks for players from GWS. Have a look at the way the Bulldogs have done it, holding onto picks: Smith, Stringer, McRae, Bomtempelli...

Re: Saints Diamond Member Event
OK I didn't take notes BUT here are things that stood out to me: Kosi was MC: - says the older players believe in Richo Richardson - losing our mid tier (geary, gilbert, armitage, steven) for huge chunks hurt our results round 6 onwards - our kids are doing 33% more load during week (to get them up...

Re: Who will we trade in?
Would Greater Western Sydney look at this.... We give them pick 1 and Montagna for Patton. They'd have to throw in Cameron for me to take that deal CW. IMHO Monty stays unless he wants out. I want Petracca with our first draft pick! Then, next draft (2015) we can liberate the power forward likes of...

Re: Ameet Bains promoted
Yes, I remember Terry Dillon's position was made redundant because St. Kilda's revenue model couldn't sustain it, or something to that effect. Apparently we can now afford it. Most of these responsibilities make perfect sense, however NZ to me, appears as though it should sit with the CEO. It sounds...

Re: Our Top Three Draft Picks
Given that we're in the middle of a few years where we pick up top three draft picks, I thought it was worth looking back at those we've had previously. There were surprisingly few given how bad we've been, I guess we've been generally OK since the first real draft in 86: 1981 pick 3: Grant Campbel...

Re: emma quale on the draft
A few murmurs that the too 20 in the draft could be pretty even etc.. I'm sure as we near closer, recruiters will firm up their order - this happens most years and phantom drafts are roughly accurate, of course there's always a handful of annomolies too. I reckon that having pick 1 or 2 simply mean...

When does rock bottom hit?
It's the question every fellow Saints fan wants to know at the moment... I was lucky enough to get invited to the Pelican's list-building presentation last year @ LHC and he indicated it would be 2014, then slow and gradual improvement after then. Leigh Montagna said in an article earlier this year ...

Re: Wakelin and Dillon gone
Terry seemed a nice guy and worked hard for the club. And Wakes did a good job with the sponsors. I wish them both well. A good job with the sponsors? How many did he bring on? To me, Wakelin was the Robbie Kearns of the Saints, drinking "scooners" with corporates talking about his time o...

Any SA Saints have any intell on Durdin? All the talk is Wright v. Goddard v. McCartin, however Durdin comes highly rated as well and should form part of the discussion on our 1st pick.
