Re: Mores the pity.
This is the natural ebb and flow of footy. Applies to individual players as much as teams. You start getting good, you get respect and they put more work into you. It's why being a really good team at the top of the ladder is so difficult -there are no easy games with everyone going for your throat...

Love them both, and Minch went really well today.
Lonie seems to be beginning to try to play the Ballantyne/Milne "pest" role.
Not sure if it suits him though.

Funnily enough, the main thing I reckon Adele has over the othe "single named female" (and male) pop stars is that she doesn't need to tart up, or court the paps to fill a stadium. In fact, she's actually got the ability to perform live for a whole concert, unlike some in the biz today. Ne...

How did we get all the way here without any mention of PLUGGER THE PIG???
Yeah Ok, it's not really anything to do with plugger, but still pretty funny!

Re: Match Thread v Swans JLT Round 3
needed Robbo and Savage to stop making errors. Before you yell, Robbo ran past a guy, called for handball, then handballed to someone who was a fencepost... Savage made numerous mistakes Yep savage had a very crook 3rd quarter. let's hope it just a bit of pre season rustiness. Where would a fit Joe...

Re: RSEA Park saintsational contribution ?
Some good thoughts here people. The tax deductible aspect is definitley worth considering as some might choose to increase the donation they can afford. Premium89 your thoughts were exactly what I was thinking initially. If half the members could donate something it would make a huge difference. It...

Re: RSEA Park saintsational contribution ?
Doing the maths, all we need is 24,000 people to donate 100 bucks. When you think about it in those terms it seems fairly achievable given we have over 30,000 members.

Re: Interstate members' complimentary tickets
Is it because all interstate games by their nature, are 'away' games? So the club probably doesn't have as many free/cheap tickets up their sleeve. Melbourne based members get to see home games, but what about away games in Melbourne? Obviously it depends on the level of membership - but for a Melbo...

Re: JLT 3 vs Sydney
I think its Wright's to lose. He's not the most gifted footballer, doesn't have the silky skills but he's hard as cats head, super quick and has a knack for kicking goals. Does he ever!... just watched the replay of the Carlton JLT game earlier, and pretty much all his goals seem to come out of the...

Re: Congrats to Peta Searle
She said on ABC radio that she would coach an AFLW Saints team along with her assistant coaching role. The seasons don't clash. That would be good to see - not just for the fact that she'd hopefully be great at it, but the media would love the "woman coaching a women's team" angle. There'...

Re: Holy shyte, we are $11M in debt!
So Super Duper, why is the Cash Rate being maintained at a historical low of 1.5%? Why is the unemployment rate static/increasing, noting the measurement of unemployed AND noting that positions being created are part time and casual with resultant under employment? Why is wages growth static? Why i...

Wonder if she'd be head coach when we get a women's team, or would she stay in the blokes program?

Re: Tigers offer Dusty 800K. Should we trump them?
Surely the other players getting their noses out of joint wouldn't be huge issue - once they get past a certain level of experience, don't they all negotiate their contracts individually (or their management does)? So they're all on slightly different pay scales to begin with... so working out who's...

Pathetic - based on that a long year Midfield a worry - Ross Dunstan Stevens Armo all in the same side won't do it for us. Can see why Stevens did not play many games for the other 2 clubs he was at Newnes for a good kick turns it over more than most Dunno which game you were watching, but I though...
