At 18 possessions and 77 % DE I agree. I think that's a pretty good effort.

Re: Should tonights game be postponed?

And our team plays the first two games. Nicely rigged for a "showdown" as the last game. I reckon our boys will be a little tired in the second game. I'd be willing to bet our players have never played in such heat, perhaps no players have. If 37 degrees is not hot enough to call it off, ...

Farking disgraceful decision! What were they thinking? spot on. cant believe people can say he is a good pick up without seeing him play. wasnt in east perths bests. wont be in sandy's. we will regret this one. watch us miss a rookie/psd selection that goes on to be 10x roberton will be. mind boggl...

Re: Trent Dennis - Lane

We are loving those Sandgropers. TDL was coached by Watters at Subiaco as a 17 year old. He certainly knows how to kick a goal. He bagged 70 in his first year of WAFL in 2009 before he was drafted. Watters clearly knows him and rates him. I hope we get him then. The Saints could also do with more p...

Re: Welcome to the St Kilda FC Tom Hickey

Saw Hickey in a game last season and thought that the Suns had a superstar in the making. Remember thinking that we didn't have anyone like that on the horizon. Can't remember what game it was, but he was everywhere. If he develops consistency, we will do very well indeed. Love the positivity! What...

Re: Hickey

25 for Hickey? Yes.. young Ruck who could be a star.. more chance of being good than an 18 year.. pick 25 on youngsters is always a bit of a lottery I can see it evolving into a 3-way deal with Hawthorn. We give Hawthorn pick 25 & 37, they give Gilham and 28 to GC, GC give us Hickey and 26. Tha...

Showed a lot of promise early at the Swans but fell out of favour...maybe could get.

This has probably been posted before but here are a few Hickey highlights ... http://youtu.be/BKOXQgZRFh8 He can take a mark but his ball drop and kicking action are very ordinary. New to the game blah blah open to improvement ...What you don't see in that clip is his biggest asset, he has a good l...

Re: Tom Lee Traded for our pick 12

How did we waste the first pick? Goddard was going to go to a club like Essendon, rather than the one we'd have wanted him to go to for a trade, so we got the best we could have there, Rolls or not. Tom Lee plus the pick that could get us Mitch Brown or another very decent kid is not a waste of a f...

Yeah that was what stuck out for me "while his goal tally in the WAFL is even more impressive given he started the season as a key defender". His positioning as a utility could be very handy.

Re: This Guy (Rossy) can coach

Don't forget (and plenty seem to be doing just that) that we finished 6th last year and got smacked out by Sydney at home. Worth remembering too that this year in Watters' first year we won 12 games at 54%, whereas last year under Lyon we won 12 games at just 56%. So it's not a huge grasp to think ...

Re: A Loss Against the Blues = Freo don't make it?

I'm kind of weird but I want the Saints to win and finish as high as possible. I couldn't give a rat's tossbag about who else makes it. I understand that weirdness, you kind of hope it will be easier for the players to pick up the pieces if they're just a little way off. The general consensus on he...

Re: Wilkesy for Unsung hero

Phenomenal effort really from where he has come from… 5 goals and 12 marks, will probably get himself a brownlow vote. He's obviously seen as a back-up, but I dare say they'll keep him on the list for awhile longer, probably has another 4-5 years of footy left in him and we will be very low on bigm...

Re: Woeful 2nd quarters

I agree. There are big problems with the list and they are papered over at the moment and very thinly at best. 2012 won't be a complete waste because we've found some good players but a place in the finals will only be beneficial for the experience to the those new players. The rest will be gone by...

Re: Woeful 2nd quarters

I was just about to post about this Spud, it is a real problem. Senior players not putting the body in around contests..Hayes looks he is out of steam, NDS and Montagna and Steven getting kept off the ball too easily. We should be killing Melbourne, but if this is the best our senior players can do...

Woeful 2nd quarters

Our 2nd quarter starts this year seem to have been terrible. Off the top of my head Sydney, Collingwood and now Melbourne. The players either lack intensity and/or make poor skill errors.
