Re: Riewldt - very interesting..
WE ARE INSTRUCTED TO GO OUT AND PLAY AN ATTACKING STYLE OF GAME WHICH WE ARE NOR EXECUTING" Could it be as simple as Lyon cant get the best out of these players? Say what you like about GT...he had them playing as a team. A good coach will always get the best out of his players. I hear the wor...

Lyon is mesmerised by the sydney gameplan...he hasnt got it yet thats its old school and it doesnt work for anyone else but sydney. We're an attacking side...and to put it simply nobody seems to know what the hell is happening out there. Dal Santo's skills are being wasted...he cant play to his stre...

Who here actually saw the incident with X??? I DID and there was nothing in it from what I saw! X’s mistake was not looking where he was friggin’ going! It wasn’t even 100% of his opponents fault either as he ALSO wasn’t watching where he was going until the last second where he bumped X an...

Re: 1. Hodge 2. Ball 3. Judd
before Judd Butterss who coached Judd as a 14yo wanted us to draft him, but Thomas overruled, disagreed and went for Ball instead. Does anyone here still think Ball was a better selection? Who here thinks Thomas made the right call? 8-) From that draft 1. Hodge probably the most damaging kick to po...

Re: 1. Hodge 2. Ball 3. Judd
That is a 100% FACT Thomas told Beveridge that the pick was off limits and we would be drafting R.Clarke btw, fwiw, imho, I thought this was the right call at the time Thomas says one thing and does another, depends on who he is talking to and what agenda he has, but you already know that, surely T...

Re: 1. Hodge 2. Ball 3. Judd
As regards how important Beveridge's decision is, it depends on how much independance he has. For example Raph Clarke was 100% Thomas's decision, Beveridge had no say whatsoever in this decision. Beveridge had no say whatsoever? I find that hard to believe. Why then do i recall GT saying that Bever...

From that draft Ball was in the lead by most recruiters... Hindsight is a wonderful thing...Judd had shoulder problems..you know that...and Hodge came dead last. We could've picked Judd...and the rest as we say is history. Didnt Bevo have a say too? Surely he had some input into who he thought we sh...

While many others teams have developed talent by the truckload, our club stagnated and did NOT, with all the top up duds and rejects, who have all come and gone for diddly squat. Agree...GT and the famous bundy dropped the ball and relented on a promise to just recruit the next best kid...instead t...

Kids are our future...we need to keep turning them over and giving them an honest chance to show what they can do. Gehrig was a backward step...a waste of a draft pick...his best is behind him. Why not try Harvey in the forward pocket for his last year...give the poor bugger a break..whats there to ...

Re: Where's the 'Lyon Toughness'??
Ask the same question after 2009 and we should have the answer.rodgerfox wrote:
So, the question is - where is the toughness?
Is mental toughness something you learn or something you naturally have?
Lyon needs 3 years...it was always as simple as that.

Rome wasnt built in a day = patience. New game plan = its obviously going to take time to sink in. We arent 2-4 = we're playing bad football. New Coach = new ideas, new ways of doing things. Injuries to key players = not ideal team to pick from. Bottom line = I think he'll be a good Coach. Maybe eve...
