Re: Club explanation
I agree with you TTT. Whitlam did more positive long term things for Australia in his brief tenure than all those after put together, including the ALP Govts. Even an old foe, Malcolm Fraser, who became a great friend of Whitlam, has stated to this effect. We are now back in the quagmire of nothing ...

Re: Club explanation
Whoever came up with the NBN initially and signed up for it deserves jail time. It is quite ironic that wireless technology that will come into the market in 5-10 years time like the new 5G will easily outspeed it. There are companies and governments around the world already working on better wirel...

Re: Club explanation
I have read the age article - no problems with it. To fix the NBN now will cost over 100bn - better to have done it properly the first time, even if it cost 80bn.

Re: Club explanation
There should be NO scenario, where a man can almost singlehandedly determine the trade strategy of a club, and be on a promise to another club. . Despite your baseless paranoia, no knowledge of when Bain's informed the club he was leaving, what timing of departure and roles of responsibility was ag...

I don't think he has totally abandoned the forum - he was just on it a minute ago. Just to carry on your ludicrous theory, if Jaxons was Ameet, he would be best to stay on the forum and find out sensational saintsational info which would be vital for his new club? Are you suggest I was serious abou...

Re: Club explanation
It's like our supporter base are a bunch of zombies. Just happy to accept mediocrity and being walked all over. You really think Collingwood or the other big boys would just accept the conflict and move on without at least asking questions? The apathy of people here is a serious concern. What medio...

So every club that loses a senior staff member to another club should submit an explanation on the circumstances of the departure? Yeah right.

Re: Ameet Bains- Bulldogs do it again
He is a loss because of his IP, but the cemetery is full of indispensable people. All the best, Ameet. Thanks for your service. Everybody these days works under the ever-watchful eye of the KPI demon. Except Bains appears to be immune and exempt from KPI and is apparently above reproach. He has rea...

Re: Now the dust has settled.
I can't fathom the idea that some believe we are not able to attract players, one of the reasons being our performances late in the season. Moving interstate for players needs a bit of thought, but generally for the right deal players will go to any AFL club. Dusty almost went to North, and their i...

Re: Our Draft Summary
We did not participate much, but as the club said it would take a great deal for us to part with 7 & or 8 - obviously we didn't get it. Not really worth fiddling around with B graders if we are happy with the incumbents. Logan was needed as backup & possibly Brown replacement in the short or...

Yes, close the thread. Has been taken over, in the words of Spiro Agnew, by the nattering nabobs of negativism.

Re: Why don’t they wanna play with us
This thread still going? Can't see much logic or sense in it. Lack of heart? Soft? Rubbish. We have lost Roo & Joey and are lacking experience, as we were in the Port game. Getting games into the young ones will improve leadership. The Port game result was due to inexperience, and it just happen...

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
Ok will give you an update. Haynes wants to come to us. Tomlinson on the fence between staying or going and choosing Collingwood or us. We are interested in Devon Smith and pitched to him last week, and would be happy to take him if Bombers can't do a deal. Clearly we are reluctant to give up picks...

He certainly had Rance worried. Anyway much valued by the club and we will have a few more years to see if he can prove his doubters wrong.

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)
I still don't get McCartin. What is he actually good at? Even his under age highlights look average. Been thinking the same thing. Maybe the club just had stars in their eyes when they had the no. 1 pick, and I think they just expected to easily develop another big forward to cover Roo eventually r...
