Re: Consider Trading Billings
Billings not a play maker? Isn’t he top 5 in the comp for score assists? That’s pretty much the definition of playmaker. But sure, let’s trade him for a late first rounder and then draft someone we hope will be as good in 3 years time. Meanwhile, Essendon or Hawthorn laugh all the way to the bank.

Re: Billings!
1965 Saint - you started this juvenile thread by asking how old Billings is. I take it you are in your 50s. Sad really. Your pathetic life has been reduced to railing against 21 year old footballers on an Internet forum. Your family must be so proud. I agree, I must be dumb not to see the subtle gen...

A " clot"? Seriously...You need to get a life. Pounding out abusive rubbish about a 21year old kid (Billings) on an Internet forum. How old are you?

Re: Billings!
Sorry mods, but just get annoyed with the keyboard warriors calling players "soft". Billings was ok tonight. Statistically above average. 5 score involvements. He did nothing that could be described as being soft. Hardly the reason we lost. The same people who dubbed Goddard "Brenda&q...

Re: Billings!
Not saying it was his best game, but 23 possessions at 73% and a goal from a forward flanker in a team that has been flogged. Some serious boof heads on here who need to delete their accounts

[quote="BigMart"]Third season, he's not even a first rounder, he's not a high draft pick... he's a number one selection Cream of the crop Can we compare him to Weitering? A defender, that went forward last week and got on top of Rance? With a hip knock... Time for him to start showing bett...

Re: Jaxons come on down
Based on (1) my understanding that GC like Tassie boys (less flight risk), (2) it makes sense to move one of their plethora of first rounders on to next year, (3) they have more picks in the 20s than they need, and (4) they need to get some hardened AFL performers in, not just 12 X 18 year olds, wha...

Re: I care NOTHING for the dogs win
Gee Whiz Big Fart, why do you even bother supporting St Kilda? Get a life. There is nothing wrong with Saints supporters taking heart from the Dogs winning one. It shows the little club can win it, you just need to get the pieces in place and have some luck. It's the same junk from you every single ...

Re: Jaxons come on down
[quote="Con Gorozidis"]I understand people are impatient and want instant gratification but it would be insane to trade away pick 10 this year. Think about it. Once we start playing finals again - then that is it for top 10 draft picks. We might not get one again for years. We can definite...

Re: Billings
A few things. Billings, one good game in his career? Off the top of my head, 30 possessions and 2 goals against Collingwood. 3 goals and 24 possessions at 100% efficiency v WCE. Last week for heaven's sake. There are plenty more. It's why he averages 20 possessions playing on a half forward flank! B...

Re: Billings
God this place is predictable. What do people seriously expect from a forward flanker in a team that gets belted by 70 points?
BTW, Nick Smith was standing him wasn't he? All Australian, premiership defender, not a first year player.

What was BM posting about Seb Ross two years ago when he was the same age as LD? I'm guessing the same ill conceived rubbish as the above.

Re: Dunstan
Disagree with BigMart. Unreasonably harsh and short sighted assessment. I think Luke definitely needs to improve his tank and get some more cheap outside touches on the spread. He is too focused on the hard core inside work. I'm confident he will improve on those 2 areas. He's only 21 ffs. Powell wa...

Re: Acres
Still only 20. Imagine how good he will be after another 2-3 pre-seasons? He seems to have the complete package. His speed is deceptive - lopes a bit like Raph Clarke, but is effective and has awareness (unlike Rapha). His hand free hand balls in the tackle are superb. He did one tonight as he was s...

Anyone still doubt this kid's ability? Brilliant in traffic and used his height well for that opening mark + goal. Memo to Richo: Armo is clearly playing injured. Send him off for surgery and let Blake play on ball for the rest of the season. Wonder how high in the Rising Star Blske might have finis...

Re: Saints v Gold Coast match thread
s***. Just s***. Now, let me guess, who is responsible for this debacle according to Richo? Acres probably. Never Monty or Dunstan. Predictable and wrong. Armitage is clearly injured. Rest him FFS and give a kid a go. We are not playing finals this year, so why play him? He falls over every time he ...

Re: Will Billings be our Judd
Billings plays mainly half forward flank in a mediocre team. Still gets 20 touches a game even though he has never completed a pre-season. All you simpletons writing him off (already?!!) need to consider how good he will be when he actually completes a preseason and is playing in a winning side (lik...
