Re: Hatred of Victoria showing
Cornes went to Victoria to play for North Melbourne but left half way through the year to return home. Surely this would mean he must have broken his contract and disrupted his club by doing so. Obviously a case of do as I say not do as I do.

Perhaps he could get Simon Garlick as his assistant. Anyway I hope he gives them a swift kick up the ginger!

Re: Sax's 2013 Phantom Draft (Top 20)
If Dumont slides to 18 IMHO we should take him. Ready to play midfielder with a man's body proven against men in senior comp.

Trent Dumont will be an absolute gun. Hard as nails midfielder who in time will play very similar to the likes of Hanneberry. Would go him like a shot if still around.

Shaun Rehn apparently highly rated and responsible for accelerated development of Lobbe this year. Pushed out of Port to make way for Walsh. Apparently wants to remain in system.

Re: Matt Thomas Port Power
Matt Thomas last night won Magarey Medal for SANFL. I know his disposal skills are what stops him from being a regular AFL player but he is hard as a crowbar with a body that stands up. Would IMHO be worth a very late pick or even a mature-age rookie list.

Re: A Midfield With........
I support Norwood over here in Adelaide so am well aware of the talents of James Aish & Trent Dumont. Aish is a gun just appears to have so much time to do things. Don't think the increased pace of AFL will phase him. However, Dumont's last 3 weeks have been fantastic at senior level. This guy m...

MMM Broadcast
Listened over here in Adelaide and must say that as much as these guys can sometimes bang on about rubbish, their broadcast today made the game really enjoyable. Would have been easy to just write it off but JB & Cometti really injected some colour into it. Just saying as mostly we all like to p...

Was in Wellington Anzac Day and watched him nail Sam Reid to the wall. plays really tall when needed. While he can't take the likes of Cloke can be our second tall defender. Congrats to him as he appears to have really worked on his disposal while injured.

Re: Farewell Blakey ... and thanks
Quiet, unsung, no headlines(other than record for no Brownlow votes). Just went out every week and did the job. Not the greatest player but one who can seriously wear the badge of GOP with honour. Because GOP over that period then equates to great clubman. Hope his services will not be lost to the S...

Re: Joey is elite
Purely my opinion, but I would say that Joey like GAJ(not to the same level) has produced higher quality performances when in an inferior side. Some may say he stands out more in a weaker team but I actually think the opposite. The ability to consistently perform well in an inferior or losing enviro...

Jack(Steven) to be new song leader. Or maybe Tom Curren. Looks pretty self confident. Maybe the new Yapper.

Really hope he plays, mightn't get the win but deserves to have a send off. And sure all Saints fans would love to see it. Party time once game finishes. Play him till half time and then sub off.

Re: Joey is elite
Extending this thread I think Gilbo should be made VC next year. Has come back in after extended absence and barely missed a beat. Has been through some crap and come out the other end. Looks focused and committed. Deserves to get the honour IMHO if he wants it.

Loved the way the two Toms(Ledger & Curren) got to contests and the didn't stop but ran to next and next. We have a couple of our young guys who need to to have that banged into their heads. I will accept the odd butchered kick but if you read all that was said on here you would have thought Led...

Joey is elite
I never thought in past years that Joey was an elite player, very good but not elite. This year I think he has taken a step up and is now in the elite class. Not only that but I think he should be rewarded next year with the captaincy. Has shown by action on and off field that he deserves the honor ...

Re: What has Armo done???
Remember the Hanneberry one, pushed Geary to the ground after Gears clearly outpointed him to mark. Reacted like a spoiled schoolkid. Remember yelling at the TV "that's 50" and being amazed at no 50. Thought the Pyke one was paid for Blake chopping the arm and was the softest decision in t...

Re: Was that Big Ben's worst game ever?
I was freezing my proverbial off at an SANFL match here in Adelaide this afternoon so only swa last quarter and perhaps Ben's absence was a blessing because I thought Hickey took a massive step forward against two pretty fair ruckmen. (BTW Aish had a poor game for Norwood but Dumont was very good as...

Re: James Aish
SI we were discussing Trent Dumont at last night's Norwood/Port game. While he is not in the same class as James Aish this kid is a serious player. Has the body shape of a real inside mid. Wins his own footy but also seems to have plenty of time when he gets it outside. The Norwood guys I go with an...

Re: James Aish
I have seen all of Aishy's games since the champs. Started slow against Sturt but has been first class since. Clearly in the elite class for his two sided skills, ability to read the game and also for someone who would be regarded currently as an outside mid his ability to win hi own ball. Seen a co...

Re: Silver Lining
Saunders attacks it hard, very rough around the edges but reckon he's a keeper, may never be A-Grade but one of those hard nuts every club needs. Webster tried but overwhelmed by numbers. Agree Lee looks like he'll be OK with another pre-season, has footy smarts. Newnes a revelation. Already looks l...

Re: Rhys on the table
I watched guys like Saunders and Webster of the younger brigade bust a gut, I know they made errors but at least they tried to insert themselves into the game. Rhys looked like he was trying to get out of the way all the time. I know he has all the physical attributes but to me the guy simply has no...
