I thought he nearly got the arse prematurely from Collingwood then won the flag.(unfortuneately)
The trouble is when he does finish up we'll get more exposure to him as a tv commentator
Pagan had high hopes when he went to upmarket Carlton and failed, I wonder if Micky may be their next scalp.

Re: Flog Maher bags "only 9,800 members" in attendance
I wonder how many games he would attend if he had a normal job and had to pay everything out of his own pocket.
Sure good luck to him for getting his job , but abit unfair to get on his soapbox on this one.

I watch sunrise from time to time (work is patchy) and Koshy has mentioned the new Adelaide Oval is more costly than the old AAMI stadium. The other day Gill McLachlan was on
and he thanked him personally for fixing up the crook deal, actually before it had been announced officially.

Carlton had the foresight to get this going when they put money into Princess Park all those years ago.
Not sure why it failed but I think most people agree Melb needs a Kardina Park.

the swans are very single minded but also successful at recruiting who they want, perhaps no.1 pick is to ontrade for who they want.

I was also at the 71 grand final.
Obviously the hawks have kicked on but it also doesn't seem that long ago that they nearly folded,a merger with Melb. was what
was going to happen, I still can vividly remember Don Scott standing up and ripping the almalgamated jumper apart, when was that
in the 90's?

Re: Changes for next week
Billings said on Marngrook last week he was feeling abit tired if he tweaked his hammy then that should be it for this year. In should be like for like, maybe Saunders or Minchinbury. Bruce out In should be a backline type, Buddy's 200th, I think most of the game may be played in that end. On the oth...

Re: Team v Doggies
I figure it comes down to how many depth players you keep as apposed to whether there is much room for individual improvement. With a fully fit list none of these guys are in our top 22. This is the decision the recruiting/coaching staff, after a couple of years, is he going to get better, handy back...

I went to the game on sat night and thought the same thing. I was yelling out and barracking, nothing abusive or offensive, just carn saintas, work it out, well done, sort of stuff,in front of us was a couple with a little girl (6?y.o.)who got startled once and looked around, I apologised but aren't you...

Re: Delistings 2015
I dont think Milera has a future with our club.
I agree a pick 75 is a token pick.
I guess what I was trying to say was his only value to us might be in a trade deal on someone we want
for him + pick.

I dont think Milera fits our side, but would suit some others. I'd be looking to trade him,on his own not worth much but may be the steak knives
in a deal. Was it true he wanted to return to SA last year?

Re: That's Sad Steve..- Retirement....
Unfortuneately the end is handled poorly quite often.
My first reaction was "couldn't we have gotten something for him?",obviously not a high pick but you would think in those comprimised drafts
along with our list ,something is better than nothing.

Re: Billy Longer
I like the idea of 2 ruckmen,1 resting in the forward line but I don't think it would work for us. IMO it depends on 2 things, the quality of the ruckmen, and the quality of the team. A Hale,Spider Everitt type is productive, look how much criticism Kosi used to cop doing that job. The other thing is t...

I agree stevie,Taylor seems a good pickup at 27 or 28,I think that its also important that that our draft picks are ready/able to play
senior footy straight up.

I'd be happy with Fev at FF but they do rely on quality delivery
Heatley was very good for us in 97 but as delivery fell away so did he.

Re: Who will we trade in?
I agree with Pleasing here.
I wonder if a fit Fisher/Gwilt sweetner may work,I realise they are short term but that is what GWS need,a little experience,
the player may get more dough than from us.
With the rotations, taggers etc are we better off with 2 B grade mids rather than 1 A grader?

Re: Saints wanted me out: Dal Santo
If Dal was still in our side he would be tagged out and cop heaps on here.
A few times BJ got tagged he didn't go very well, opposition would line him up too.
Sure if all the exits were still here we'd be more competitive hanging around 9th forever.
Business.

I dont see us winning many games,I accept we'll get flogged by very good teams,I would just like to see us closer to the lower teams. I'll use the Rich game to try and explain what I mean:- they got a great 1st qtr start we fought back they goalled right on half time, won 3rd qtr mark on siren kicked...

I've got one foot each side of the fence on this one. He had a really great year with lions playing in the ruck because everyone else fell over, Ryder did the same that year for Ess. He never did much at melb, seemed to always be injured. However if he could hold down that forward/second ruck success...

Re: Tom Lee shoulder surgery
Is there any sort of "duty of care"for the club as regards repairing an injured player regardless of his playing future?
Would it be feasible to delist him and rookie him?
I'm sure we'll have long term injuries next year.

It seems to me against Richmond he played off the HBF was this the same yesterday?
It might be more about his role that is the reason for his form.
