Lack of leadership
Can't help but think we lacked some leadership in the last twenty mins to steer the ship and motivate the boys to stay in it. Stating the obvious but wish Roo was out there. There was very little composure and we just let ourselves be dominated with no one to instill any confidence.

Re: Billings
That deleted post was absolutely disgraceful. Awful to speak about a 21 year old living the dream he is still working so hard for like that.SemperFidelis wrote:Did you delete that post Con? Good move.

Re: Lonie.
Agree with this. Both players' effort was first class. Everyone went missing in the last 20 mins so no point talking about that.Joe Bloggs wrote:Lonie..And Gilbert ..Good games from the most maligned.

Injury report on Saints app says Armo (groin) is out and Stevens (sickness) is still unavailable for selection.

Re: Billings
His second half was very good. An underrated aspect of his game is his quick handballing when in tight and under pressure. He got a lot of his own ball yesterday. Will definitely be a star for us in years to come, no doubt about it.

Re: Team v Blues
Billings and Murdoch 1 tackle between the last week. If the side builds its game around pressure and you don't deliver pressure, your spot is in trouble. Given Blacres has apparently been dropped twice for failing on the not negotiables, I'm happy if the other kids are being treated the same. No do...

But if you turn the ball over constantly and make dumb decisions under pressure - no probs. As long as your tackle numbers are up. Good plan that...

Can't believe Billings was omitted. Ludicrous decision. Hope he absolutely kills it in the VFL.

Re: Tony 74, What's up with Billings?
My argument was built around supporting a fellow poster (Devilhead) who had bothered to look beyond simplistic, archaic, suburban football based 'expertise', to suggest a 20 y.o. was on a reasonable path (as has been acknowledged by all his coaches, and his team mates). So well put. The myopia of s...

Re: Tony 74, What's up with Billings?
There's a some big flaws in Billings' game. That's not to say he is no good, and won't get better. But he needs to improve if he's going to be an A-grader. Can you please elaborate on these "big flaws". I haven't noticed anything particularly significant. In fact, I feel that he reads the...

Re: Tony 74, What's up with Billings?
This is the biggest load of rubbish. Billings is an absolute gun and has an obvious growth mindset that will hold him in great stead as he progresses through his career. The reason he doesn't give away frees is not because he is soft; rather, he seems to have a clarity of mind that ensures limited e...

Re: I'm calling it
JB is a superstar. I agree that he is better than all the rest in that quality draft. I predict that one day we will speak about him with the same reverence we speak of all the game's greats. He'll win two Brownlows at least. He has talent, game-smarts, drive and passion in spades. We are lucky he w...

Re: Poll: Should Roo be captain next year?
Roo should be our captain until he retires. Amazing and inspirational.
I don't know about Armo. He certainly came along way this year but I personally think he seems a bit ridiculous when speaking to the media.

Re: 2016 Will Be Worse Than 2015
No offence to the OP but this is a ridiculous post and completely insulting to our players and coaches.
Of course they are going to improve.
Too much pride at the Saints for that not to happen.
They are excited about the future. We need to be, also.

Re: Lonie & Sinclair
Jack Sinclair is the artful dodger, Jack-the-lad type who gives you a cheeky grin, kicks a sweet goal. Then while you're applauding he sneaks back and nicks ya wallet. But when caught, he's so appealing, you merely high five and send him on his way http://study.com/cimages/multimages/16/artful-dodg...

Does anyone know much about going to the game today? What is the venue like? Is there parking? What size crowd to expect? Can you take a pram?

I'm still waiting for our 'depth' to actually show some talent. Miles, Steven, Armo - glimpses. The rest - pretty much zip. Geez. there was a time when you actually earned a slot in the seniors. These days seems your beep test and your 20 second sprint time are all that's required. Bugger form in t...

Re: BALL(S)!
This morning I went for an appointment with the physio and saw Luke Ball in the carpark. I wanted to spit in the cheap, lousy, SOB's face and call him every name in the book. Then it occurred to me that that would only be the type of act of a Filth fan and I can never find it within myself to sink ...
