Re: St Kilda applies for a Womens Football team
I love footy, but I'll NEVER support a women's team. Simply on the principal that they don't deserve to be paid. The best female athletes should get the cash, not females who play football because generally they have never been good enough to play or compete in top female sports. It's a slap in the...

Re: Andrew Gaff
Had a news site come up on my Facebook feed this morning with footy rumours etc. - stated we were all over Gaff and were driving a dumpster truck of cash over the Nullabor to make it happen. Stated were were willing to part with our 2016 first rounder or Acres, this site suggested it might take bot...

Re: Open Mike - St Kilda's troubled history
I am looking forward to it, sheahan usually does a very good job and gives balanced coverage in his shows. Interviews with people like Nixon, Capper and the like could have been handled terribly but turned out really well and worth viewing. No point in ignoring our past and thinking that any mention...

Had a much improved game on last seasons appearances, cant see anyone getting past Oliver, Weitering or Parish for the rising star though.

Re: Gresham
Playing Eddy and McQualter instead of blooding Lynch and even Stanley was ridiculous. Roo would of found it easier on grand final day if Lynch could of demanded a defender man up on him. Come on now, this is not 2016 Tom Lynch we are talking about, 2010 Tom Lynch was a very different player who had...

You could also list Beau Dowler, Harry Miller, Matthew Little, Mitch Thorp, Sam Grimley as evidence of Hawthorn's recruitment being awful, whatever suits the contention.

Re: Gresham
So all the necessary development of Roo, Montagna, Dal Santo, Ball, Kosi, Goddard was done in their first year or two? Also, the Melbourne and Carlton recruiting was better than getting players like Fisher, Gwilt, Dempster, Steven, Armitage, Gardiner, Schnieder into the club? Peoples view of this ti...

Re: Future of Etihad Stadium?
The idea that Etihad is going to go has very little basis in reality from what I am told, more a case of Robert Doyle having to come up with some excuse for the continued turn over of tenants in the docklands area, which has little to nothing to do with the location of a football ground and a lot to...

Re: Brendon Goddard opens up on personality clashes
"Something tells me he ran past Rooy and Joey what he was going to say. Matter of fact I would be certain of that ..." Unbelievable comment. So, if Carlisle and Goddard's brother who has been in the media for the reasons he has been are close because of a common interest where does that p...

Re: Caro does NOT blame the Saints
When you consider that part of why alleged perpetrators are not named is to protect the victims identity as well, I think there is a fairly good reason not to be naming names.
You can't compare the two scenarios.

Re: Jake Carlisle
Should have stated from the outset, I am not really too fussed about getting carlisle and am leaning towards wanting to keep pick 5, just trying to think of a scenario that if our brains trust are really hell bent on Carlisle but just don't want to give up 5 on principle now.

could see something along these lines being worked on: 3 team trade - Saints, Suns, Power Saints get: pick 10 (port) and pick 29 (port) Gold Coast get: Pick 5 (saints) and Pick 42 (saints) Power get: Charlie Dixon and pick 35(suns) Saints then trade pick 10 and next years 2nd round to Essendon for J...

Re: Recruiting deck chairs on the good ship, St Kilda
You can bet it has been Hughes recommending the club go after Bennell. Just smells of the sort of rubbish he pulled at Carlton. Bennell is a very good footballer, but has way too much baggage for our club, given our not to recent past! If we cant attract quality people/players then draft quality ki...

Re: Round 22 Adam Goodes
All you do gooders need to get a grip. Milner copped it for years and dealt with it. This whole thing is a non event if that flog doesn't come out sooking. Now he needs a week off and his mum to fight his battles. It will now be worse. The booing clearly is effecting him and the way he plays theref...

I have to say this is breaking my heart and making me angry at the same time. Goodes is now having a few days off. Obviously really effecting him. And he isn't a sook IMO for doing that because none of us know how he is feeling. True. Most of us are lucky enough not to be born black in this country, to be vilified and racially abused almost every day. This is the sad lot of ...

Re: Nick
Let's just stick to what happened on Sunday. I think it was a bit more than a little booing; it was more like outright intimidation and it was ugly and way over the top. There also would have been abusive comments which we don't know about. West Coast even condemned the behaviour of the crowd. They...

Re: Lonie felled behind play?
Wont be surprised if he gets off, its one of those grey area ones. Is it low impact to the head because it was in the shoulder area and the impact affected the head or is it saying that he hit the head and it was not of enough force to be considered medium impact? It might be that our medical report...

Re: 110 POINT WIN BUT.....................
I liked the way the game was umpired yesterday. No complaints from me. 14 to 9 bombers way. Doesn't really prove that it was umpired badly, as it is rare that the free kick count would be dead even. Would 13-9 make it ok? It was the only stat they won, and winning that one was a certainty before th...
