Re: Pick 13 for Goddard
Geez Hawks got f'd over didnt they?! Lose Murphy and Young and gain just pick 66... ouch! Richly desrved. The equivalent of us getting a pick in the mid second round for goddard. We would have cracked the s***s big time. It apparently depends on ladder position so we may have been lucky to have a s...

I hope we do get Hickey, I think he will become a good player particularly with the new ruck rules. However, I am not so convinced we will get pick 13 for Goddard. Some of the rumours, I acknowledge they are just rumours, suggest it may only be band 2 or even 3 compensation. ...and those rumours wi...

Re: Hickey
This has probably been posted before but here are a few Hickey highlights ... http://youtu.be/BKOXQgZRFh8 He can take a mark but his ball drop and kicking action are very ordinary. New to the game blah blah open to improvement ...What you don't see in that clip is his biggest asset, he has a good l...

Re: What would you say to Brown
Honour your contract, you agreed to it... Not the most enticing way of getting him to the Saints. That's like me asking a girl out on a date, using the opening like "you're fat". It's probably not going to work. I guess you can kind of get the vibe that I'm underwhelmed at the prospect of...

Re: Jamie Cripps-Mitch Brown? !!
We are in the better position, despite our need for a fullback Eagles don't win by keeping a disgruntled player, that wants to move O'Keefe from Sydney. Can I draw a long bow and predict a Norm Smith for Brown in 4 years time? Save time waiting and just shoot yourself in the foot. Have to ag...

Re: Bombers to make a play for Goddard
BJ does not even want 5, he wants 4, I believe this to be reasonable. yeah, i suppose it comes down to personal opinion. i wouldn't give him 4 because the last thing we need in the middle of a rebuilding phase in 2016 is to be paying a 31 year old $600k a year, taking up money that we could use to ...

What makes you so sure of the above rediculous statement? Is this a fact or your opinion. is that a serious question? is anything posted anonymously on an internet forum a "fact"? let alone predictions about the future which cannot possibly be facts? Sorry I'll be clearer. The stat...

No. He played on Hawkins all night, beat him and was in the best. Just wishing doesn't make it true.

Re: How Many Players are gone !
Well it seems really quite simple Raph Crocker Blake Peake Polo can all wave good bye So can at least 3 or our rookies Shenton (r) Archer (r) Andreoli (r) And then we have at least 5 players who we should be trying to trade Koschitzke Jones Gram Schneider Winmar This would give us at least 5 picks ...

Re: McEvoy - terrible
It's not just that he can't jump, he is not in the contest if the fall of the ball is more than two strides away from him as he is as slow off the mark as he is slow. i agree concerning his skills but it isn't enough.

He ALWAYS goes better in the last quarter when everyone else is knackered and he can finally stagger to a contest or two. He is glacially slow.

Re: We still need a full back & ruckman!
Ben's coming good I reckon. We are winning the clearances. Just need to drag a couple of big marks in. Are you out of your mind? He is the slowest ruckman in footy, slower than the living dead - Brogan and Hudson. He reads the game well and he's a fine mark and kick but he can't jump and he can't r...

Re: RD 1 Sandy vs Box Hill- Sun 25th- TEAMS
Absolutely, there looks to be a spot or two up for grabs. I agree with the poster above as well in the comment that we are v small down back. Perhaps this week is an audition for that last backman/bench tall spot. Blake for mine although it would be great if his 200th was at home.

Hope we're not committed to using pick 68 just because we got it for Walsh. As the above shows six picks in this draft is two or three too many unless you want to add in experienced and recycled players. First pick a ruckman who can't jump... we've already got one of those. Second pick an undersized...

Capable that's the key word isn't it? Jason Gram has looked very much like a player with a long-term injury issue in the last 18 months. He's altered his game and his kicking style to such an extent that he's unrecognizable. The strange lobbing, slow-foot, kicking action he adopted for the last half...
