Sorry. . Thought you meant 3 games in n .z.
Even 2 games is 1 game too many in my opinion.

Re: If we play 2 games per year in NZ from 2015.....
Got to hand it to you for persistence. I dunno about Christchurch. Real rugger strong hold. Its the Crusaders down there isnt? Population is 360,000 - so bigger than Hobart. I just think two games per year over there is one too many. It has to be novelty factor. Nice place for a skiing holiday thou...

So you would prefer to give Stanley the best full back or maybe double team him?

Re: Contract time - 2014
I reckon Lenny could easily play on. His last five games have been 22, 24, 32, 34, 24 disposals; 6, 8, 5, 8, 9 tackles; more than 10 contested possessions each time. He didn't have 30 at all last year but he's hit it twice already this year. He'd be top ten, probably top five in the B&F. (Riewo...

Re: If we play 2 games per year in NZ from 2015.....
What good are members if they are paying bugger all to be one anyway. Losing two games to n.z might get you a few members over there but it eventually becomes less appealing to home supporters . One game for Anzac Day fair enough but no more. It's funny how n.z don't care if any locals go to the gam...

Re: VFL Rd 6 Sandringham Vs Footscray
Savage is s*** Looked good when he took it on in the last qtr. Ran past opposition with speed, carried the ball and kicked with precision. Yes he wasn't great, but he teased a bit late in the game. Maybe gave us an indication of what he is capable of. Just needs something to click. Whether that is ...

Thanks for the insight Gary - or should I say Captain Obvious.
Fancy that - different players from the same draft going to different clubs.

Re: Dermie Suggesting Senior Players Running Club
Dermott can say what he wants about the club but it's obvious by his tone that he hates the club. Sure make your point about the list selection , or that a legend of the club like reiwoldt has an opinion about the coach or team mates or the direction the club is headed. But I would back reiwoldt ove...

Anyone?????? You think today was bad - just wait till Riewoldt, Montagna and Hayes go..... Before the "picks don't guarantee success" brigade start lets just say..... we all know that but the earlier draft pick the better and we need every bit of help we can muster Our pick HAS to be top ...

Re: Hickey- Foot Injury
"Foot injury" is such a vague term and pretty dissapointing that the club gives it's fans such skinny detail on the actual nature of the injury. If it's a stress reaction, be conservative most likely of either the navicular or the 2nd metatarsal, it's straight up a 6-8 week recovery, no s...

Re: New Zealand this time round compared to last year??
The saints never had a deal like the hawks to play in tassie. They get millions to play down there whereas we only benefited from playing at a lower cost ground against teams that we usually have small crowds for. Personally i was rapt that we left tassie to play our home games back in melbourne.

Re: Hickey- Foot Injury
I wonder if there is a history of foot injuries at port adelaide over the last couple of years. It would be interesting to compare as i imagine the saints would be adopting ports training stratagies .

Re: Hickey- Foot Injury
Whats with all the foot injuries?
its like the modern day os-pubis.
Is this mismanagement by the club or what?
Gilbert, steven, Hickey are just a few this year with large weeks out.

This game should def be played during the day over there . But of course to avoid a clash with the almighty over here it won't happen .
If they are serious about showing afl skills it has to be a day game.

Re: September bound?
With this kind of form and looking at the fixture I have us winning about 8 games .
I looked at the ladder position over the last few years with 8 wins and it's usually about 4th or 5th last.
I would be happy with the forth or fifth pick.

Re: Kiwis not buying in
All you doom sayers should just shut up. This is a long term project that will eventually bear fruit. You can't expect to have 100,000 people jump on board after just 1 game. We need to be patient and be in it for the long haul. One game a year for the next 5 years is ok for now but I firmly believ...

Some quick stats: Jack Billings 29 disposals, 7 marks. Adam Schneider 24 disposals, 5 tackles, 5 marks Seb Ross 24 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 marks, 3 goals. Terry Milera 27 disposals, 3 tackles, 7 marks, 2 goals Acres also had 18 apparently and did ok by all reports. Also nb: Bruce didn't play as he ...

Re: St Kilda going home !!
What I do know is that i see plenty of Saints players at the cafe I go to in St Kilda which is 5 minutes to junction. jack, Geary, Dal, Goddard, Joey and plenty of others. Compared to Seaford where they might have to kill a couple of hours it would be much better. It might not be the main reason bu...

Re: St Kilda going home !!
If this does happen when do we expect the redevelopment to finish by? let's say before 2016 would we then play our standalone reserves at Junction Oval for home games? Ideally you would want the stand alone stkilda reserves team to play their games at the renovated moorrabbin to keep a presence dow...
