Re: Memorabilia
Don't forget its only worth what someone would pay. Very true matrix. Also, just because something is signed doesn't always mean the value goes up. Some collectors want things in mint condition - as soon as something is signed it's no longer mint and therefore the value decreases (for that buyer). ...

Re: Memorabilia
I was lucky enough to win a Nicky Winmar signed jumper at the St Kilda Social Club the night Saints thrashed Carlton in the 1996 night grand final. I've had it framed along with the ticket stub from the game and, of course, the scoreline. I also have, I think from around 1986, an autograph book (so...

I'm selling an AFL team car collection- St Kilda 1996-2013. A couple are missing*, but includes 15 cars ( all in original boxes) and a centenary pack by Matchbox with two cars and a pewter medallion. Would like them to find a Saintly new home. Looking for: offers to buy, pricing suggestions, or adv...

Re: Memorabilia
I also have, I think from around 1986, an autograph book (soft cover with pictures of players in their own individual plastic sleeves) that has most of the players' autographs from that period. From memory one book was released in 1986 and another in 1987. The cards from the 1987 set were the same ...

Re: Tommy Lee
Agree. I know we haven't seen a lot of him but IMO he is one of the best set shots for goal in the League.MC Gusto wrote:if he can get his hands on it he will kick a few because that is an immaculate kick for goal
I don't think he will ever be a super star but I think he can become a very good player for us.

Re: Anzac Day 2015 -
I went over for the first game against Sydney. Can't remember the name of the hotel though. My only advice would be book early as I heard a lot of the hotels around Wellington were booked out. Apart from loosing it was a great few days. The game itself had a totally different atmosphere to any other...

My prized possession sits in the lounge room. One of the 1966 fully signed Saints premiership pieces the club brought out (66 of them for $1966 each from memory). Was this brought out in '66 or a few years ago (2006?)? I remember a framed piece with photos of all the premiership players with a sign...

Re: We're the Saints - 80s-90s theme song
There are at least two versions of this song (I have both on cassette). The version in soundcloud is NOT the original. The original is from 1986 when we were known as the Southern Saints. IMO the original is a lot better. I just listened to the soundcloud version again and I think it IS the origina...

Perhaps, a long way back...there was certainly talk of that back then too. Some of the footage on those videos is quite unique though as much of it was taken by the club rather than the TV stations of the time. One shows a Winmar mark against Essendon early in his career that live was one of the be...

I have lots of memorabilia - probably too much. Main things are an original WEG poster, grand final record and membership ticket (obviously all from 1966), footy cards from the early 1900's to current, membership tickets, reserved seating tickets, framed Members Recognition Guernsey from 2012 and a ...

+1 although I am not sure if there would be a ground suitable. I could be wrong but I think there are more people living in and around Auckland than there are in Wellington.Enrico_Misso wrote:If we did play a second game there then surely Auckland would be the place.

Re: Free Kick count
Some frees you dont notice, cos we may already have it and its called advantage. Spot on mullet. I used to think the free kick tallies just fudged as well. I now count the frees at each game and mark them in the Record. 99% of the time my figures match the stats. A lot of the time fans don't notice...

I have a 16 game membership and tried to scan it to gain entry. It didn't allow me entry and was told I would have to pay $8.50 to get a reserved seat on level 3.
