Re: Jack Steven out for 6 weeks
This has to be the worst timing! We are minus two of our top 3 in the B&F last year for the crucial match against Melbourne... Have to hope for an upset!

Re: We basically won that game
Okay, Con, I think it is way too early to be calling Grant a gun. He played 3 or 4 good games last year, but other than that he has done stuff all. Maybe wait until he's a more consistent performer before you can call him a gun. As for the result, I was just happy that they were competitive with Dog...

Re: Feb 19th - Bulldogs vs StKilda at ... WTF!
I believe last year when the Giants played in Albury or something in a NAB Cup match they had around 7,000 to the game so they would be hoping for a similar figure in Wagga. That's not exactly nobody.

Re: What Peter Summers DIDN'T say !!
How is this relevant ?? If we pull a crowd then the town is big enough - we are clearly being compensated poorly for the crowds we get at docklands - we must have signed a poor deal and if we can somehow change the agreement to our advantage then we should try every means possible to do so As far a...

This game would actually suit Doggies supporters quite well, but not us. I guess so long as they never have the Dogs playing home games down in Geelong in the regular season it won't matter.

I'm wondering how Port made a seven figure loss. They had strong membership and reasonable crowds this year... I'd hate to see what it would have been like for them a few years ago.

Re: Only two more sleeps
yeah it's killing me, lucky there's decent cricket to watch! Depends what you define "decent cricket" as? The Aussies have faced perhaps one of the worst English sides to ever tour and are about to sweep them 5-0. Call me insane, but I don't regard a one-sided series as being decent at al...

Re: Our Draft Zone
I'm pretty sure the Hawks were actually the first to dip their toe into NZ - those 2 rookies they signed this year have been on their books for 2 - 3 years I think (a bit like Joe Baker-Thomas is for us now). Yep, that's right, Tatupu and Heatherley were both snapped up by Hawthorn before St Kilda ...

The Bulldgos announced an operating loss of$143,000 today - not too bad given they had one of the smallest memberships and a crappy Etihad Stadium deal.

Positive Vibe
From what I can tell so far St Kilda has done a really good job so far this off-season of recruiting players. So many promising youngsters for the first time in ages and whilst we will probably struggle on the ladder, I think it will be really exciting to watch the young players develop. I feel that...

On the positive side we are starting from scratch almost. The playing group ,coaches and CEO can all grow together. They don't have baggage. I've got a good vibe about it all. Irregardless (love that word) of what the media says. \ from the urban dictionary... 1. irregardless Used by people who ign...

Re: My Expectations
Well, I've just been watching the press conference, so far so good. But to be honest, if we win 6 games next year I'd be happy. What I'd like to see is some new ideas in playing the game, some semblance of structure with the team, like someone to kick the ball to once we get possession in the middl...

I'm inclined to think that it's mostly rubbish but I will say that I think history might have some bearing on the players mindsets. Other than that I don't buy into it.

I might be wrong but I think Josh Bruce is going to be #46 because they had a welcome sticker on that locker number for him.

As much as Seaford is more convenient for me since I live on the Peninsula, Moorabbin is way better from a history/fans perspective. Hopefully they can get some decent funding so that a first-class facility can be built there.

Kind of disappointed that St Kilda has the toughest draw out of the teams that finished bottom 6... Why couldn't we hvae played both of Melbourne and GWS twice...
I think 2014 might be a wooden spoon year - I am only predicting 3 wins. Happy to be proven wrong though!
